The 28th patient, male, 55 years old, lives in Hebei District, Tianjin. He is an employee of the Tianjin Railway EMU bus section and is close contact with several patients with pneumonia infected with the new coronavirus in this unit. He developed fever on January 19 and visited the Fourth Central Hospital of the City on January 25. He had negative nucleic acid tests twice and was given home quarantine. He developed fever again on January 27, the nucleic acid test was negative on January 28, and the fourth test on January 30 was positive. Later, the city's expert group confirmed the 28th case in our city, which is a common case. At present, he has been transferred to Haihe Hospital for treatment, and his vital signs are stable.
As of now, Tianjin has a total of 28 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus, including 22 males and 6 females; 13 severe cases and 15 ordinary cases, with no critical or deaths. There are 97 suspected cases. A total of 210 close contacts have been screened, of which 7 have been confirmed, 2 have been released from medical observation, and 201 people are still under medical observation.
