Yesterday, an article in China Consumer News sparked heated discussion on Weibo . Many netizens said, "I haven't paid attention to this safety hazard after taking such a long time."

reported that at noon one day in September, Ms. Zhou, the owner of a hotel in Meicheng, received a call to order food, and the other party said that she would book 6 fast foods and come to pick up the food later. Ms. Zhou said she needed to transfer and pay with Alipay first. However, the other party said that his Alipay account could not be transferred, but there was another way to pay: barcode collection.
On the phone, the other party asked Ms. Zhou to tell him the number under the barcode to make payment. However, after the phone was hung up, Ms. Zhou not only did not receive the meal fee, but her account was transferred 999 yuan.

article analyzed that the reason why Ms. Zhou was cheated of money was first because she failed to distinguish the difference between "payment code" and "payment code", which gave the scammers an opportunity to take advantage of.
So what exactly do the two "codes" we use every day look? Only the QR code is displayed in the
payment code.

and the payment code is composed of QR code + barcode + 18 digits. You can use any one to swipe away your money.

In the above cases, the scammer obtained Ms. Zhou’s 18-digit payment numbers, and used technical means to forge a barcode, and added a code scanner to complete the code scan payment.

barcode generator principle
. The reason why scammers do not need any verification information when transferring money is because Ms. Zhou, like many consumers, has enabled "password-free payment" within 1,000 yuan.

This morning, the Alipay Security Center issued a special reminder on this matter:
[If you see this anti-fraud page, please listen to advice and don’t actively disclose information] Payment code is a common payment method, but whether it is Alipay or WeChat payment, if the user actively discloses information (screenshots or numbers), he may be cheated. We have taken 3 major measures: ① Payment code is updated every minute; ② Android phones cannot take screenshots (Apple phones have reminders); ③ There are clear anti-fraud reminders when entering the digital code page. I hope everyone thinks twice after seeing it and listen to advice.

reporter then contacted the relevant staff of Alipay, and the other party also reminded again that the payment code number is only used to show it to the merchant when paying. In order to prevent being cheated, Alipay has actually taken three security measures, such as the payment code is updated every minute; Android phones cannot take screenshots. If the screenshots of Apple phones, the system will remind users that "the payment code number is only used to show it to the merchant when paying. To prevent fraud, please do not send it to others."
If you click the hidden 18-digit number on the QR code (only 4 digits are displayed normally, you need to manually click it when viewing), the same reminder will pop up on the page.
Precautionary advice

Generally speaking, the serial number is automatically hidden, and the barcode pattern is often shown to merchants, but if you know the serial number, you can forge the corresponding barcode. Therefore, the serial number of the barcode is as important as the payment password and verification code, so do not disclose it easily.

WeChat Pay Security Lock:

For many people, payment code payment does bring convenience to consumers. Once this function is enabled, under the protection of the security system, Alipay and WeChat both enable password-free payment functions below 1,000 yuan by default.
But some people still feel worried, so they can choose to manually disable this function.
