A few days ago, Steam started a summer sale event. This should have been a "good season" for players to buy money and manufacturers to count money, but due to the inappropriate arrangement of some activities, some unpleasant things happened.
In the summer sale event page, players can join a fleet according to their preferences, and then accelerate the fleet according to their consumption and play activity. If the team wins, then the drivers have the chance to get the top game of the wishlist.

Theoretically, in order to obtain the best interests, players can "top" the most expensive games on their wish list in advance. But because the official rules are unclear, people delete low-priced independent games from their wishlists for insurance. Judging from the store's recommendation algorithm, this has had some negative impacts on indie games. Valve quickly apologized in a statement about the matter:
We heard feedback about the "Steam Automobile Grand Prix". We designed something quite complex with a whole bunch of data and rules and realized it should have been clearer. We want to apologize for the chaos it caused...
Apart from that, Valve discovered a bug about the "Steam Automotive Grand Prix". That is the "Grand Prix Badge" exchanged for activity tokens, and the experience of adding Steam level is a bit too high. The official said that it will start to fix the bug, and players who have redeemed can "return" the goods in the future.
