Cover News reporter learned from the meeting that the first Chengdu International Photography Week, guided by the Propaganda Department of the Chengdu Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and co-organized by the Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, and Tourism and other units, will be held in Chengdu from November 18 to 24 this year.
This year's Chengdu International Photography Week is themed "Image: Prospects·Common Rong". Wang Dajun, consultant of the Chinese Photographers Association (art consultant of this photography week), Zhong Weixing (artistic director), and famous contemporary imaging artist Wang Qingsong (general curator), will lead the full planning process, and the design arrangements of the activities and exhibitions will fully reflect artistic, diversity, academic and internationality.

According to the person in charge of the organizer, this photography week covers two parts: event and exhibition, including the opening ceremony, Chengdu International Photography Summit, China Image Collectors Summit, China Photographer Forum and Photography Equipment Expo. At that time, the heads of major photography festivals across the country, well-known photographers, representatives of imaging institutions, and equipment manufacturers will attend relevant activities and meetings. The exhibition part includes four units: "Same Frame in the Exotic Area" (International Pavilion), "China's One Origin" (China Pavilion), "Tianfu and the same screen" (Sichuan Pavilion), and "Rongyao and the same walk" (Chengdu Pavilion), including 9 main exhibitions and 7 parallel exhibitions. The works mainly come from the works of top representative photographers in the United States, Brazil, Spain, Japan, France, Finland, South Korea and other countries and regions as well as in China. It is also understood that in addition to traditional static display, the presentation method of works also has more contemporary image and video devices, giving people a different viewing experience.
The various activities and exhibitions of this photography week will be launched in Chengdu Art Museum, Chengdu Tianfu Humanities Library, Chengdu Contemporary Image Museum, Dong'an Lake Universiade Media Center, Qingbaijiang Chengxiang Ancient Town and other scenes.
