Recently, in accordance with the work deployment of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the Municipal Urban Management Bureau, together with Jinping District , Longhu District , Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Overseas Chinese Experimental Zone , Municipal Drainage Company and other relevant departments, sorted out 67 flood-prone points in the 9 areas on the north bank of the central urban area, formulated rectification measures in accordance with the principle of "point-to-one policy", clarifying the responsible units, specific responsible persons, rectification measures and completion deadlines of each point, and at the same time clarifying the deployment of emergency drainage equipment and stationed personnel. Shantou Olive Station reporters went deep into various areas for on-site interviews and launched a series of special reports "Governing urban flooding and Shantou is in action", jointly supervising and promoting the implementation of rectification work. Cause of water accumulation
■The terrain is low-lying, and the drainage is not smooth
When this area is under the outer tide top support, it can only be forced through the Lian pump station, but the distance is too far and the process is too long; at the same time, the drainage of Fuping Road is poor, and the terrain is low-lying, which is prone to severe water accumulation.
■The drain port is blocked
Fuping Road gate is low in automation, the emission is supported by the outer tide, and even river water is backflowed. The gate is not opened and closed in time, and it is opened late during drainage, and it is not closed in time when backflow occurs.
■In the construction of the facility, the upstream of the Huawu Road culvert has not been put into use. The water congestion area is large and is the main drainage channel in the surrounding area. It is currently being renovated by the Municipal Urban Management Bureau. The water accumulation situation has been significantly improved compared with previous years. The downstream Yuemei River Pumping Station and Yuemei River Gate are in the final stage of construction.
■The gate is covered with moisture level, and the drainage is poor. There are 5 flood control gates along the Mei Road in January. At high tide, the outer tide top support is severe and the rainwater cannot be discharged.

Jinsha Jinling Road intersection and Huawu Road Huawu Market were all drained into Yuemei River box culverts through the Huawu Road-Gangqian Road rainwater pipeline. The original drainage pipeline of Huawu Road and Gangqian Road was built many years ago. It has been disrepaired and has poor drainage. In order to solve the problem of long-term flooding in the Huawu area, the Municipal Urban Management Bureau has promptly promoted the addition of a pump station in Yuemei River and the flooding control project in the Huawugou area.
On the basis of repairing and unblocking the original drainage Shifanggou on Huawu Road and Gangqian Road, the project has added a drainage main pipe with a diameter of 1.2 meters; a new drainage pipe with a diameter of 2.2 meters was added on Gangqian Road, and a new sewage pipe was also built to realize the divergence of rain and sewage, greatly improving the drainage capacity of rainwater pipelines.
At the same time, the project also added a drainage gate in Yuemei River before the rainwater channel. During heavy rainfall, the gate can be opened in time to speed up drainage.
Considering that Yuemei River is susceptible to the tide top of the outer tide level during heavy rain, resulting in waterlogging and unable to discharge outside, the Municipal Urban Management Bureau has added a strong drainage pump station in the lower reaches of Yuemei River, equipped with 4 high-power pumps to solve the problem of drainage during tide level.
At present, the flood control project in Huawugou area is coming to an end. We are speeding up the final work of debugging equipment of the forced discharge pump station, and will be fully completed and put into use next month.

According to the old city area rectification plan, the municipal drainage company carefully analyzes the causes of the bottlenecks, strengthens temporary emergency response measures, and ensures that before heavy rain, the Li'an pump station and Dongxia pump station are opened early to lower the water level of the pipeline network, and alleviates the road area water problem during heavy rainfall.
Recently, the Municipal Drainage Company organized forces to comprehensively clear the drainage pipelines of Minzu Road, assisting Jinping District in the unblocking drainage channels at the two water accumulation points at the intersection of Minzu Road and Fuping Road and the intersection of Zhenping Guoping Road.
Municipal drainage company has also arranged a 2,000 cubic emergency rescue vehicle at the junction of Hanti Road and Fuping Road, responsible for timely carrying out forced discharge during heavy rainstorms to reduce the water area on the road.

Jingping District has also improved temporary emergency response measures, strengthened emergency dispatch management, and accelerated preparations for comprehensive cleaning of Fuping Road and the drainage pipeline network in the area.

■Drainage is poor, the way out is blocked
water accumulation section is a dead end, and the plan is to discharge it from east to west into the Xigang River, but the Chenghai Road (Pining Road-Xigang River) section has not yet been implemented. After the water accumulation, it will turn eastward into the Neigang River on the east side of Jieyang Road. However, due to the long-term dredging of the Inner Harbor River, the rainwater pipe outlet is buried under the riverbed, and the drainage is blocked.

According to the North Axis area rectification plan, Jinping District has improved temporary emergency response measures and strengthened emergency dispatch management. During heavy rainstorms, emergency pump truck will be equipped in time to pump rainwater to the Inner Port River, and strong discharge will be carried out in a timely manner to reduce the water in the road area; at the same time, it is planned to give priority to opening the drainage channel to the Xigang River. Before the road is connected, a temporary drainage channel will be built to ensure smooth drainage.
