Excavator is undergoing renovation work at No. 1 sluice

After the first and second phases of the Puxi flood detention area are connected, the flood control capacity of the original Puxi flood detention area will be greatly improved, and the natural ecological conditions and landscape effects around the waters will be improved.
Puxi flood detention zone Phase II is coming to an end
As an important flood control project in the central urban area, Puxi flood detention zone is mainly used to ensure the safety of flood control and drainage in the central urban area. According to reports, Puxi, located in a low-lying area, in addition to the first phase of the Puxi flood detention area that has been built, the second phase of the Puxi flood detention area has been planned to receive rainwater from nearby areas. On the 24th, the reporter saw on Pier 45 of the Chenzhou Super Bridge that a flood retention area of more than 200 meters had been formed under the bridge, and an excavator was also parked on the site. And under the Pingshan Road viaduct, a flood retention area has been formed.
According to the Municipal Municipal Engineering Management Office, as a 2017 urban construction project in Quanzhou City, the second phase of the Puxi Flood Retention Zone (the section of Baozhou Street to Jiangbin North Road, Xiashiqiao) started construction last year. The construction period is 6 months, and the project is now in its finale. The project uses the land between Pier 45 and Pier 54 of the Chenzhou Super Bridge on Quanxia Expressway, with a total length of about 268 meters. It is excavated to form a flood detention area and is connected to the flood detention area under the Pingshan Road viaduct that has been built. The flood detention area is 13,000 square meters. The construction of the project mainly includes earth excavation and dredging at the bottom of the reservoir in the flood retention area, concrete pouring, earth filling, etc.
According to reports, the first phase of the Puxi flood detention area was successfully completed on December 28, 2000. In 2015, in order to improve the storage capacity of the Puxi flood detention area, our city decided to implement the second phase of the Puxi flood detention area (the section of Baozhou Street, Xiaqiao, Expressway Bridge to Jiangbin North Road). The construction significance of this project is that it can not only improve the flood control capacity of the original Puxi flood detention area, increase the area of flood detention areas, and form an overall water with the built Puxi Phase II flood channel, but also improve the natural ecological conditions and landscape effects under the current highway bridge. It is a people's livelihood project that benefits the people.
The connecting area of the plain channel will build a new sluice
Yesterday morning, the reporter came to the east side of the Tutong Bridge in the southern part of the plain channel and the first phase of the Puxi flood retention area. An excavator under the bridge is under construction, and several municipal staff are conducting measurement and command on the spot. According to the on-site staff, according to the arrangement, the first and second phase sluice renovation project of the Puxi flood detention area is included in the 2018 annual project of the 3-year action plan for flood control and drainage and rectification in the central urban area of Quanzhou City. The main construction content of the project is to renovate the 1# sluice gate, which is located at the east side of the Puxi Flood Retention Zone under the Chutong Bridge in the southern part of the plain channel and the east side of the Puxi Flood Retention Zone. A new 2# sluice gate will be built at the connecting channel between the Pingyuan Canal and the second phase of the flood detention area of Puxi. The designed flood control standard is once in 50 years and the flood control level is 4.0 meters. The entire project started construction on March 15 with a construction period of 120 days.
According to reports, after the first phase of the Puxi flood detention area is completed, when the outer river tide is supported, the waterlogged water cannot flow out and discharge itself. At this time, it can enter the Puxi flood detention area to regain flood and drain to Jinjiang through electric discharge. After the second phase of the Puxi Flood Retention Area is completed, it will connect the first phase of the Puxi Flood Retention Area and the Fashi Shui Gate of the East Canal. When the Jinjiang water roof supports, the flood water cannot be discharged by itself, the flood channel can be used to divert the flood to the Puxi Flood Retention Area, and then drain the water to Jinjiang by using the drainage pump station to prevent flooding in the central urban area.
