The water level continued to rise. At the critical moment, the firefighters at the garrison arrived in time, drove military vehicles to the water and traveled against the flow, decisively sent life-saving cables, and successfully rescued 7 trapped people.
On the morning of June 24, She County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, affected by heavy rainfall, and mountain torrents broke out in some mountainous areas. After receiving the order from the county defense command, the county's People's Armed Forces Department immediately activated the first-level response mechanism, organized and coordinated the firefighting of the resident armed police and dispatched the militia emergency team to carry professional rescue equipment such as assault boats.

At around 9 a.m., 7 people near Lifang Village, Xiakeng Town, the county were trapped on the Xiajing Bridge on Line 324 of Provincial Highway. As the flood rises very quickly, the water surface floods more than one meter of the bridge deck, which brings great difficulties to rescue. In critical moments, rescue officers and soldiers drove off-road vehicles to carry assault boats, waded into the vicinity of the bridge, quickly got off the boat and drifted the water, and sent lifesaving cables. They successfully moved the seven trapped people to a safe area through double cable slipping.

At around 11 a.m., the rescue officers and soldiers received a new order: "There are people in Qixian Village, Bei'an Town besieged by mountain torrents." The rescue officers and soldiers organized militias to search and rescue door to door. Villagers Wu Baowei and Wu Yansheng have two families, including a mentally retarded daughter and a seriously ill and paralyzed wife. Both families are unwilling to evacuate. The rescue officers and soldiers patiently did their ideological work, actively mobilized and successfully transferred all the six trapped people to a safe area.
