As an important window to present the overall level of new Chinese design talents, the annual China Fashion Design "Newcomer Award" selection has attracted high attention and attention from the fashion education industry, clothing industry and fashion media industry. This year's Newcomer Award is themed "Fashion 'Green' Movement". Unlike the previous evaluation method that only focuses on popular trend creation proposals, this design selection is centered on sustainable fashion, and contestants need to create popular trend works with the concept of sustainable development. A total of 615 outstanding undergraduate and junior college students of the 2022 fashion design major and master's students recommended by 106 universities across the country participated in the evaluation. After preliminary evaluation and selection, the new generation of designers from 60 colleges and universities finally competed on the stage of the fashion week with 65 groups of physical works, setting off a new climax of sustainable creative design for Generation Z.
Jiangxi Costume College Li Bolun's award-winning work "Exploring the Power of "Love" and "Self-Love"" is inspired by traditional aesthetics and modern technology. It uses gender-free aesthetics to express and explore whether to break the tradition and break through yourself when traditional morality conflicts with people's ideas and ideas. The functions of the clothing itself are expressed through the elements of the workwear. Some metal is embellished on the clothing matching, and neutral cutting is added. The patterns that look like fish and non-fish are drawn as elements based on traditional Chinese patterns. Reflective yarn and luminous yarn are selected on the material. The knitting process reproduces the traditional Chinese aesthetics of Chinese traditionalism in line with the pursuit of trends of modern young people.
Li Bolun said after the competition, "Participating in this newcomer award competition and professional women's clothing design competition is incomparable to any period of time. I always believe that as long as I work hard, I can see the most beautiful starlight. From the moment I entered the university, I set my own university goal, that is, to work hard for my future life and plan my life path.
