During the five-day music festival, fourteen orchestras and nearly 100 jazz performers will show the audience the latest artistic style of world jazz to the audience through offline performances, online live broadcasts, famous teacher lectures and other rich forms, and present the brilliant and colorful Chinese jazz culture.
As the National Performing Arts Center, in the 15 years since its opening and operation, the National Grand Theater has created several brand art festivals such as Opera Festival, May Music Festival, Chinese Symphony Spring, August Chorus Festival, and International Drama Season. In 2021, the National Grand Theater created a brand new performance brand "Taihu Jazz Festival", continuing the freedom and leisure of jazz in the city sub-center. In 5 days, 19 bands and 108 musicians brought more than 100 new and old works, presenting a diversified jazz feast to nearly 2,000 audiences, creating a new business card and new landmark for Taihu Performing Arts Town. According to reports, this year's Taihu Jazz Festival continues to invite top jazz musicians at home and abroad. While continuing theme planning, enriching form and relaxing atmosphere, it has innovated and upgraded in performance planning and event form levels, focusing on original jazz works with Chinese national cultural characteristics, showing the collision and integration of Eastern and Western jazz music cultures, and creating a more affinity, more infectious and appealing jazz music feast for the audience.

According to the overall arrangement of the music festival, on August 26, the China-Europe Jazz Orchestra will perform folk songs from many countries such as China, Italy, Poland, and France, deeply combining national folk music with jazz; on August 27, the Jinfo Jazz Orchestra will perform "Silk Road" and "Western Region Rhapsody", bringing the Silk Road theme into the field of jazz. Li Xiaochuan, Qin Sifeng Jazz Band and Luo Ning Quartet will present original jazz works with Chinese national cultural characteristics such as "Harvest" and "Oriental Sketch" to the audience; on August 28, the CMA Band of the Beijing Modern Conservatory of Music will bring the distance between the audience and jazz through popular melodies such as "Nanping Night Bell", "Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon", and "Night Comes Fragrance", so that the most intimate and familiar melodies around the audience will be given jazz colors.
