The United States, Britain, Germany, France and other Western countries recently imposed sanctions on Iran . Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Kanani strongly condemned the West's interference in Iran's internal affairs on the 10th, saying that he would not make concessions, and asked the UK and other governments to protect the security of Iran's diplomatic institutions and personnel.
Kanani condemned Western countries' interference in Iran's internal affairs at a regular weekly press conference that day. accused the West of linking Iran's domestic issues to nuclear negotiations and trying to get more bargaining chips in nuclear talks, but Iran will not make concessions.
Kanani:
We firmly oppose attempts by the governments of all parties, especially the Western and US governments, to impose new sanctions on Iran, to extort and get bargaining chips; to oppose any restrictive measures against the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We have a firm stand and we will respond promptly to them.
When asked whether the recent incident in Iran would affect the nuclear negotiation process, Kanani emphasized that Iran will insist on nuclear talks , and it is still possible to reach an agreement on nuclear talks.
Recently, Iranian embassies in the United Kingdom, Denmark and other places have been attacked one after another. Kanani strongly condemned them and asked these countries to protect the safety of Iranian diplomatic institutions and personnel.
Canani:
We emphasize that the British government has a responsibility to ensure the security of our diplomatic places, and that is what we expect from the British government. If they cannot provide security, they should notify the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and if they accept diplomatic representatives, they should fulfill their responsibilities.
Kanani said that Iran attacked armed terrorist organizations in the Kurdistan area of Iraq and took "official and transparent" measures and also held talks with relevant parties in Iraq. He hopes Iraq will fulfill its commitments to ensure comprehensive security along the common border.
Kanani once again denied that Iran provided Russia with drone bombing Ukraine . He stressed that Iran has always adhered to a neutral position in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and called on all parties to resolve the dispute through dialogue.
Iran nuclear negotiations are at a deadlock, but anti-government demonstrations in Iran are still continuing. Although Iran says this will not affect nuclear negotiations, analysts believe it puts Iran in the disadvantage of nuclear talks. Whether Iran will make concessions remains to be seen.
