Just last year, Tsai Ing-wen threatened that the two sides of the Taiwan Straits were "not affiliated with each other." In her speech, she claimed that the so-called "four persistences" include "the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are not affiliated with each other", etc. It is expected that Tsai Ing-wen will make another big move this year, which can be seen from the recent speech of Tsai Ing-wen's number one follower Wu Zhaoxie. According to a report by Global Network html on September 28, Wu Zhaoxie said that "the root cause of tension in the Taiwan Strait is the mainland's external expansion." My spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council refuted Wu Zhaoxie's arrogant remarks at a regular press conference on September 28. Zhu Fenglian said that this person's statement completely disregards the facts and turns black and white into black. At the same time, Zhu Fenglian also pointed out incisively that the current tension in the Taiwan Strait lies in the fact that the DPP authorities stubbornly adhere to the separatist stance of "Taiwan independence", strive to cater to external forces, engage in "using Taiwan to control China", and constantly pursue "independence" provocations, which harm the interests and well-being of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. We can see that in recent years, under the leadership of Tsai Ing-wen, the lives of Taiwanese people have become increasingly difficult. In the past few months, Taiwan has just ushered in a wave of price increases. Electricity bills and daily necessities have risen one after another, and power outages are frequent. The epidemic prevention and control on the island is also a mess. There has been an earthquake recently. However, the DPP authorities did not care at all. Instead, they were happily welcoming Pompeo, an outdated American politician. This behavior has seriously damaged cross-strait relations. However, the DPP is complacent and claims that it is an upgrade of Taiwan-US relations, which is really unwise.
Of course, there are also many knowledgeable people on the island. Recently, the symposium on "Review and Outlook on Cross-Strait Exchanges for 35 Years" was held at the Taipei National Taiwan University Alumni Association. Former Taiwanese leader Ma Ying-jeou also attended. Regarding cross-strait relations, Ma Ying-jeou made an appeal. He pointed out that in the six years since Tsai Ing-wen came to power, cross-strait relations have been deteriorating. He said that if the Tsai administration takes the people as its own mind, it should stop the war and avoid war. The two sides of the Taiwan Strait should also have a common political foundation for dialogue. The two sides should not only "avoid war", but also "plan peace". Ma Ying-jeou also pointed out that the key reason for the deterioration of cross-strait relations is that Tsai Ing-wen does not recognize the "11992 Consensus ", and Tsai Ing-wen also failed to propose a common political foundation that can be accepted by both sides of the Taiwan Strait as a substitute. Ma Ying-jeou's starting point is good, but there are still some mistakes in his speech. Ma Ying-jeou's remarks are similar to the current mainstream arguments of the Kuomintang, namely "1992 Consensus, one China has expressed its opinions". However, in fact, the mainland has issued more than once more articles that the "1992 Consensus" only has "one China" and no "one China".
From the perspective of national sovereignty, our position cannot be blurred or loose. Not long ago, my country's Taiwan Affairs Office spokesman Ma Xiaoguang also issued an ultimatum on "Taiwan independence", saying that if "Taiwan independence" separatist forces and external forces provoke and force them, or even break through the red line, the mainland side will have to take decisive measures. This measure is not ruled out as the use of force, after all, the mainland has long had this strength. Taiwan independence stubborn elements like Wu Zhaoxie are just grasshoppers after autumn and can't jump for long.
