This time, covering 1,799 universities in 104 countries, is the largest and most diverse university rankings to date. Compared with previous years, this ranking was nearly one month late, and the rankings of some universities have also changed significantly. THE2023 World University Ranking Scoring Indicators
The performance indicators for this ranking is divided into 5 aspects:
Teaching (learning environment): 30%;
Research (number of papers, income and reputation): 30%;
Citation (scientific research influence): 30%;
Industry income (knowledge transformation): 2.5%;
International Outlook (Academic personnel, students and research): 7.5%.

Times Higher Education World University Rankings is the only global performance table in the world that judges all core tasks of research-intensive universities, including teaching, scientific research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

THE2023 World University Ranking Highlights
Ranking Top 10 universities
British and American universities still rank in the top ten in the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, but compared with last year, there are one more universities in the UK that have entered the top 10. Oxford University in the UK ranked first for the seventh consecutive year, and Cambridge University ranking continues to rise by 2 places, ranking 3rd in the world, and Imperial College has entered the top ten this year.
In terms of American universities, the University of Chicago failed to enter the top ten of the list this year. Caltech dropped 4 places this year, ranking 6th in the world.
UK THE2023 World University Ranking
There are 10 universities in the UK that entered the top 100 list, namely Oxford University (1st), University of Cambridge (3rd), Imperial College (1st), 0), University College London (22nd), University College London (29th), King College London (35th), London Political and Economics College (37th), University Manchester (54th), University Bristol (76th) and University Glasgow (82nd).
US THE2023 World University Ranking
2023 THE top ten universities in the world, American universities occupy 7 places, Harvard University ranked first, Stanford University and MIT followed closely behind.

Australia THE2023 World University Ranking
A total of 7 universities in Australia are among the top 100 in the world. Among them, , the University of Melbourne ranked 34th in the world, firmly ranked first in the Australian universities. The other five universities in
TOP100 are Monash University (44), University of Queensland (53), University of Sydney (54), Australia National University (62), University of New South Wales (71), and University of Adelaide (88).
Canada THE2023 World University Ranking
0A total of 4 universities in Canada are among the top ten universities in the world. The best-ranked universities are still University of Toronto , which is consistent with last year and ranks 18th in the world, University of British Columbia (40), McGill University (46), and McMaster University (85).
Singapore THE2023 World University Ranking
Singapore is still only National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University entered the list, but the ranking continues to grow: the National University of Singapore rose 2 places, and this year it entered the top 20, Nanyang Technological University rose 10 places, and the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Ranking 36th.
Hong Kong and Macau, China THE2023 World University Rankings
Hong Kong region has 6 universities in Hong Kong, most of which have risen in rankings: Hong Kong University (31st), Hong Kong Chinese University (45th), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (58th), Hong Kong Polytechnic University (79th), Hong Kong City University (99th), Hong Kong Baptist University (501–600), there are 2 universities in Macau, China, Hong Kong University (201–250), and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (201–250).
