In addition to Gan Yu, three hydraulic workers usually stationed at the dam, Luo Yong, Peng Yunjun and Deng Rong. The two of them are in one shift, monitoring the changes in water level in 24 hours shifts, and promptly pulling the gate to discharge flood water.

Luo Yong introduced that the flood season from July to September is their busiest time. Sometimes they have to clean up two or three times in the middle of the night - use a machine to pick up dead branches, leaves and other debris floating upstream. "If power is not generated, the water will enter quickly and it will be filled in a few hours when it rains heavily (note: it means it is close to the highest load water level)."

Peng Yunjun experienced a dangerous situation. One night in August, it was raining heavily, and he didn't dare to doze off all night.After waiting until dawn and the water level was basically stable, he rode a motorcycle home for dinner. After a few bites, he was uneasy and ran back to the dam. He saw that the water was a few dozen centimeters away, and then he turned over the dam. He hurriedly lifted the gate and ran away, "I almost didn't out of the way. He said he was scared to him." Peng Yunjun's younger brother Peng Rongqiang recalled.

The water workers usually eat and live in the dormitory, a two-story building not far from the dam, and the computer for monitoring the water level is also inside. They do two weeks off for one week, and they can only take one or two days off for the Spring Festival.

Apart from the flood season, hydraulic workers do not need to beware of water levels and weather changes at all times, and their work is much easier. Three workers who pulled cement just arrived at the dam, parked their cars, changed their clothes, and prepared to get into the cement. Yan Qinghua, who was running behind, saw this and returned to help. The excavator helped him watch the stones falling from the mountain. Yan Qinghua tried to move the stones on Yang Gang's body, but he couldn't move them, so he could only help carry the injured Peng Yunjun to the river nearby. Later, Gan Yu and Luo Yong carried him to a safer platform, went back to the shed to find a bed cover for him to mat.

Soon, "a large piece of stone fell on the mountain." Yan Qinghua didn't care about it and fled to the opposite side of the river.

Gan Yu suggested that you go up to the dam to lift the gate immediately. The pressure pipeline used by hydropower stations to generate electricity has a vertical drop of more than 700 meters, and passes through many private houses and farmlands in Wandong Village. Watching the coworkers leave, Gan Yu was sad, but he was powerless. Another porter, Ma Zhengjun, was completely buried by rocks after the earthquake and died on the spot.

Yan Qinghua said that the 10 people who escaped were heading towards the Tiger Gang - this was the only way out at that time. This is an old logging road, more than one meter wide, often for villagers to herd cattle. Due to many landslides, I often take turns to cross mountains. Two people who walked fast went down the mountain that night. The remaining 8 people arrived at the Tiger Gang and it was already dark. They spent the night in Tiger Gang, burning fire to keep warm, and continued to go down the mountain after dawn, and arrived in Wanggangping at around 11 a.m.

Sun Jianhong saw that all the workers who escaped were covered in vague faces and mud, their pants and shoes were worn out, and their hands and feet were scratched.

Most of the time, there is nothing to eat. He is so hungry that he vomits yellow gallbladder, so he can only drink water desperately and drink full. Later he found some wild kiwi fruits that fell to the ground.

In the first few days, he could hear the sound of the helicopter and knew that he was looking for him. He hung his clothes on the tree and called for help every once in a while. There was no response, which made him feel unbearable. He could only think about some happy things and miss his family. "Living purely by faith, I want to go home, my family is looking for me."

10 Early in the morning, a 16-person rescue team went up the mountain to search. The guide is Luo Yong's cousin, Luo Lijun, a 49-year-old villager in Wandong Village. He and Gan Yu don't know each other, but he wants to do his best.

On the first day, they climbed over the tops of three small hills - among which there was the big ping where Gan Yu finally discovered it. After walking for two or three hours, he arrived at the guide's house. The guide's house collapsed, and there was no water or electricity, so he could only carry water from two or three kilometers away.

The next morning, they brought tents, tape, knives, pots and rice to the mountain, and planned to go to celery ping first, then turn to the nearby hills for three or four days.

About two hours later, Gan Liquan received a call from Gan Yu's mother saying that Gan Yu had found it.

His brother Peng Yunjun is 38 years old and lives in Wandong Village. His two sons are in junior high school. His youngest daughter is still in elementary school. His wife does farm work and takes care of his 107-year-old grandfather. His life is very tight.

In Peng Rongqiang's eyes, his brother is honest and capable. Every time he goes home, he is busy growing bergamot , raising beekeepers, and raising cattle. He is also very nice to him and always helps him work. A few days before the earthquake, he asked his brother to help him pick up honey, and his brother asked him to wait for him for a few days.

Unexpectedly, the brother is waiting for his brother to meet him every time he takes a turn. Difficult news. He "cried for three days", "tugged with his hair", and dreamed of his brother twice. In the dream, the two brothers seemed to be back when they were childhood, grazing cattle on the mountain.

Peng Yunjun's wife broke her leg in the earthquake and was sent to Chengdu for treatment by a helicopter. Her husband was gone, and she "changed the whole person". The children always asked "Where is Dad?" at first, but later they found out, became silent and cried without saying a word. Only Peng Yunjun's mother was not aware of it, and they were afraid that she could not bear it.

Peng Rongqiang felt very stressed recently. The house collapsed and he had two children at home. The brother was gone, and he had to raise nine people alone.

He heard that the people who died in the hydropower station were buried on the spot. He wanted to wait until the road was repaired, go to the dam to take a look, and take his brother home.

32-year-old Ma Zhengjun was killed. He has been working on a small worker on the construction site since he was 14 years old. On August 29 this year, he had just finished dismantling and pile driving from the construction site in Tibet, and returned to his hometown in Wandong. He was too idle. On September 4, he went to the hydropower station for the first time to work, moving the stones used for the fort, and the wages were 170 yuan a day.

Ma Zhengjun's wages are basically used to pay off his debts. Because his wife Chen Fang and his wife Chen Fang have never been pregnant, he borrowed nearly 110,000 yuan for test tubes. Yang Xiuqing said that after experiencing these, her husband became taciturn. When he was fine every day, he would cry while watching his mother's photos. He couldn't sleep at night and was crying.
