China Taiwan Network September 23rd According to Taiwan's United Daily News, the mainland gave Taiwan giant panda " Tuantuan " on the 23rd, and the examination showed local brain lesions. Taipei Mayor Ke Wen-je posted on a social media platform today saying that since the panda "Tuantuan, Yuanyuan" came to Taiwan, its bright black and white, cute and cute warm image has healed many people's hearts. The medical team of Taipei City Zoo will definitely try their best to give "Tuantuan" the best treatment.
Ke Wenzhe said that in mid-to-late August this year, the nurseryman discovered that "Tuantuan" behaved differently from usual and had bad appetite. After surveillance images, he found that "Tuantuan" was suspected to have had epilepsy a month ago. Recently, after being examined by a veterinarian in the park and sent to the Animal Hospital at the National Taiwan University for brain MRI, it was found that the left cerebral hemisphere "tuantuan" had local liquefaction necrotic lesions, and the right cerebral hemisphere had similar lesions, which may be the cause of its epilepsy symptoms. We are still waiting for other test results to clarify the cause.
Ke Wenzhe said that the weather turned colder after September, and pandas could go to outdoor areas to move, but before the further inspection results were released, "Tuantuan" may not go to the outdoor area, and they will try to avoid "Tuantuan" climbing higher as much as possible, and will avoid sudden epilepsy seizures and causing fall injuries. As for whether the "Tuantuan" care space needs to be changed, Taipei City Zoo will also evaluate the overall situation based on its physical condition.
Ke Wenzhe said that the news of "Tuantuan" getting sick made many people feel distressed and reluctant. Please bless "Tuantuan", thank it for its selfless and warm company in the past, and please rest assured that the medical team of Taipei City Zoo will definitely do their best to give "Tuantuan" the best treatment.
