At around 18:00 on April 29, Tuanfeng County Zongluzui Police Station received a report: A truck collided with an oil tanker on the section of Zhuzihe Village, Zongluzui Town, National Highway 318. At the scene of the accident, the police found a large truck parked across the road. Not far away, there was a three-wheeled motorcycle that was overturned. An oil tanker carrying diesel broke the road guardrail and was stuck on the side of the road. The front of the oil tanker was deformed, and there was a diesel leak on the left side of the vehicle and the bottom of the tank. There were three injured men sitting nearby, and dozens of onlookers were watching the scene. The scene was very chaotic.
After the police confirmed that there were no trapped people in the car, they immediately provided simple treatment to the injured, and arranged for police force to evacuate the onlookers and set up a cordon at the scene. According to the preliminary investigation by the police, when the accident occurred, the tanker truck collided with a large truck driving in the opposite direction, lost control and hit the guardrail on the right side of the road. After being dragged for dozens of meters, it was stuck on the side of the road. The truck lost control due to being hit and hit a tricycle driving in the same direction while gliding, causing the tricycle to overturn, and then the truck stopped across the road. In the accident, three drivers and passengers were injured to varying degrees, and all three left the hospital after receiving treatment.
According to the investigators, the tanker truck continuously crashed into 19 corrugated steel plate guardrails when it rushed out of the road. After being dragged for about 30 meters, it did not rush into the pond outside the guardrail under the buffer of the life protection project guardrail.
