Lu District has three prosperous streets, Xinli Street is one of them. The early Xinli Street was only located north of Song Xiezhuang Street, while Song Xiezhuang Street was equivalent to the southern border of Tangshan . It was installed here with the Nanzhalan Gate of Tangshan, which is equivalent to the South City Gate. Later, the street continued to extend southward (called Nanshi Street) and continued to the Liutun Dashanggang. After Japan surrendered to , this street was renamed Zhongzheng Road from south to north. After the liberation of Tangshan, it was also renamed Jiefang Road. Today's hand-painted old Tangshan map focuses on Xinli Street.

Xinli Street is only 296 meters long and 6-10 meters wide. This is why Xinli Street was formed later than Liangshi Street and Bianqi Street. But it is the only way to the south to the villages of Song Xiezhuang, Liutun and other villages, and it is also a convenient way between the train station through the South Gate and the Bianqi Street and the downtown area of the hill. The article "Approval of Fengrun County's Details on the Added Wood Tax for the Establishment of Foot Donation in Xinli Street, Tangshan" published on June 12, 1907 records: "The proposed method for donating feet to the head and feet is to be drawn in Xinli Street, Tangshan, and the foot is to be drawn... Therefore, it is a trial operation." Xinli Street was first mentioned. Another paragraph is the " Beijing-Feng Railway Travel Guide " published in 1910: "Tangshan Station... Xinli Street sells miscellaneous grains, groceries, fish, vegetables and other items during the 27th episode period, and the market is quite prosperous."
1930s, Xinli Street gathered with many merchants and had many font sizes. For example, Ronghuashun (department store), Taixing (clothing), Chengshi (silk), Datong (shoes), Saturated (jewellery), Hongji (tea), Yipinxiang (pastry), Xinxin ( mascara ), Daoxiangcun ( sauce meat cooked food), Fuxingha (milk coffee), Tianfengyuan (restaurant), Ruida (pharmacy), East China (electricity), Sanshun (haircut), Gaofa (pawn shop)... There are also stores that specialize in grain, such as Huaxingtong, Xinchenghao, Wanqinghe, Hongshenghou, etc. The characters that sell dried and fresh fruits often contain the character "de", such as Dequancheng, Deshengxiang, and Fortunexing.
