Guo Yongli, the station manager of the Forestry Workstation of the Gaocheng District Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, introduced that in order to achieve the goal of adding 21,000 mu of new greening area this year, the district takes the Arbor Day activities as an opportunity to adhere to the combination of the "three edges and three sides" key greening work with other greening projects, and mobilizes and organizes various forms of national voluntary tree planting activities. "In addition to centralized voluntary planting like today, small-scale voluntary tree planting activities will be carried out on Saturdays and Sundays."

"Middle March to mid-April is the peak period of spring tree planting, and 85% of the overall greening task is planned to be completed." Guo Yongli introduced that in recent years, Gaocheng District has invested nearly 1 billion yuan in a cumulative investment of 95,000 mu of tree planting, and the forest coverage rate has reached 29.4%. This year, the Hutuo River ecological restoration green corridor project, transportation main road landscape project, park enterprise greening project, rural living environment greening project, and urban greening quality improvement project will be implemented.
Among them, the Hutuo River Ecological Restoration Green Corridor Project plans to create a 100-mile green ecological corridor integrating flood control barriers, green ecology, landscape recreation, and industrial economy. The greening area is 13,000 mu and will be completed by the end of August this year.
