In the picture below, this desk made by Jean-Henry Ritznell in 1778 was made to solve the inconvenience of mobility before and after pregnancy. This desk with special mechanical devices can lift the upper tabletop according to the queen's needs with a curved handle. The panel above the table can also be lifted, and a mirror can be seen when flipped. There is a built-in storage compartment below the tabletop. This thoughtful design can facilitate the queen to place cosmetics or writing utensils. Although the pattern inlaid wood is a bit old over time, it does not affect its still beautiful appearance.
