Zhang Yazhong also believes that the United States wants to use the Ukrainian crisis to earn benefits, so it deliberately creates Ukraine-Russia conflicts, which can also be projected on the Taiwan Strait issue.
Zhang Yazhong analyzed in an interview with Hong Kong media on the 22nd that Taiwan’s perspective on the Ukrainian crisis is mainly divided into two factions: one faction believes that “Taiwan is equal to Ukraine”, and if there is a conflict between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, the United States will help Taiwan. One faction believes that "Taiwan does not equal Ukraine" because from a strategic perspective, Taiwan is extremely important in the Asia-Pacific region, and the United States has a much higher demand for Taiwan than Ukraine.
