Recently, the list of winners of the 2022 " Science Exploration Award " was announced. Shandong University Professor Li Liping, executive vice president of Qilu Transportation College, is on the list and became the first young scientist at Shandong University to win this award.
"Science Exploration Award" was established in 2018 and was jointly initiated by 14 well-known scientists including Yang Zhenning , Rao Yi , Shi Yigong , Pan Jianwei , Xie Xiaoliang and Xie Xiaoliang , and Tencent Foundation initiator Ma Huateng . The 50 young scientists who won the award will each receive a 3 million yuan bonus funded by the Tencent Foundation in the next five years. During the nomination, recommendation and evaluation of this year's awards, more than 900 academicians from various countries and principals of more than 30 well-known universities participated; during the nomination and recommendation stage, more than 20 international grand prize winners such as Nobel Prize , Turing Prize , Fields Prize and other international grand prize winners participated.
Professor Li Liping is the winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. He is currently the Executive Vice President and Doctoral Supervisor of Qilu Transportation College of Shandong University. He has won the honorary titles of China Youth Science and Technology Award, , Baosteel Outstanding Teacher and other honorary titles. As a backbone member of the teacher team of the Geotechnical Engineering Center "National College Huang Danian-style Teacher Team", he adheres to the front line of teaching and scientific research, insists on cultivating morality and cultivating people and serving the country with scientific research. Over the past thirteen years, he has led his team to engage in disaster prevention and control research on underground engineering, and has gone deep into the front line of more than 20 national key and difficult projects such as Three Gorges Winding Dam Expressway , and is committed to solving the problems of early warning and control of disasters such as water and mud bursts. His research results have made significant contributions to the mechanism of major disasters such as water, mud and mud in tunnels and surrounding rock collapses, and early warning and prevention and control. He has won 2 national awards and 3 provincial and ministerial first prizes (all first). At the "Celebration of Teachers' Day and Excellent Teachers' Commendation Conference" held by Shandong University on September 9, Li Liping won the "Good Tutor in My Mind" of Shandong University in 2022.
