Lu Kang pointed out that as we all know, in October 1971, the 26th session of the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 2758, clarifying that the Government of the People's Republic of China is the only legal government representing the whole of China. The one-China principle recognized by the resolution has become a general consensus among the international community. The one-China principle involves China's core interests and the feelings of more than 1.3 billion Chinese people, and is also the premise and political basis for China to maintain and develop friendly and cooperative relations with countries around the world.

Lu Kang said that at present, the China-Africa comprehensive strategic partnership maintains a good development momentum. China will host the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in September this year, which will surely set off a new climax of China-Africa friendly cooperation. In recent years, Gambia , Sao Tome and Principe have achieved normalization of relations with China and returned to the China-Africa friendly and cooperative family, fully demonstrating that the one-China principle is what people want, the general trend, and the trend is unstoppable. We welcome Burkina Faso to join the Sino-Africa friendly and cooperative family as soon as possible based on the one-China principle.
