On December 23, the groundbreaking ceremony of China's assistance to the Bobo-Diuraso Hospital project of Burkina Faso was held. The Minister of Health, Public Health and Welfare of Burkina Sharmani Vederaogo, the governor of the Upper Basin region and other local government officials and military and police leaders, local religious and traditional leaders, medical staff, representatives of surrounding residents, and representatives of Chinese project management units and construction companies participated in the event. Ambassador to Burkina Faso Li Jian sent a congratulatory letter to the project groundbreaking ceremony.
Ambassador Li said in his congratulatory letter that the official start of the Bobo Hospital project is a concrete measure for China to implement President Xi Jinping’s important initiative to jointly build a community of health for mankind, and an important milestone in the development of bilateral relations. It reflects that the Chinese government has always insisted on trusting words and fulfilling words in international exchanges and cooperation with Africa. Once it makes a solemn commitment, it will always insist on doing good things well and benefiting the people. The hospital has designed 500 beds. After completion, it will become a national comprehensive teaching hospital with advanced level in Bu, radiating to millions of people in more than ten provinces in the southwest region, greatly alleviating the serious shortage of local medical infrastructure, and is of great significance to strengthening the infrastructure in the medical and health field of Bu and improving people's livelihood. In the next step, Chinese management units and construction enterprises should fully carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship, build Bobo Hospital into a benchmark and flagship project for China-Brazil cooperation, and actively fulfill corporate social responsibilities to drive local people's livelihood and social development. At the same time, during the construction of the project, we hope to receive strong support from all walks of life in the Bundesliga to ensure the smooth progress of the construction, strive for the early completion of the hospital, and benefit the people as soon as possible.
Minister Vedraogo highly praised the friendly and cooperative relations between China and China, and thanked the Chinese government for its valuable assistance to the development of various fields of Burma. Wei said that changing the medical and health landscape of Bu requires high-quality infrastructure and professional and qualified medical staff. The Bobo Hospital project officially started with the firm support of China. After completion, it will not only be equipped with medical devices with international advanced level, but will become the largest, highest specifications and best conditions in the cloth, but will also undertake teaching functions and become the cradle of cultivating Bu medical staff, and promote the sustainable development of the health industry from multiple dimensions of software and hardware.
