"Time means life." Liu Fangjie, a member of the search and rescue team of Yibin Blue Leopard Emergency Rescue Team, said that waterways and mountain roads are the most time-saving ways to reach the epicenter.
So, rescuers took a charge boat to cross the river to transport the masses and supplies. At the collapse point along the river, the charge boats could only dock in areas where there were no rocks falling, and rescue personnel climbed up the ruins step by step for transportation. The living, the victims, and even the dozen small pigs of the residents were transported out with the charge boat. After successfully escorting them down the mountain, rescuers immediately cleared the wounds of the injured and gave priority to the transfer of the wounded, the elderly and children to the resettlement site.
In recent years, Zhou Tianfu has noticed the importance of improving residents' earthquake prevention and self-rescue capabilities.
