You may have seen the calligraphy works of the artist Dong Yangzi long ago but don’t know them. The titles of the movie "The Grandmaster" and the artist Jay Chou’s "Lanting Preface", the inscriptions of the writer Long Yingtai's "Wildfire Collection" and Bai Xianyong's Kunqu opera "Peony Pavilion" are also from Dong Yangzi's pen.
"I went to the mainland to exhibit my works, hoping to find more soulmates." Dong Yangzi held his first exhibition in mainland China, interpreting the "Linjiangxian" by Yang Shen, a talented man from the Ming Dynasty in the form of calligraphy, and paired with Chen Ruixian's unique aesthetic concept. A huge work of 1.8 meters high and 54.32 meters long is designed with an arc-shaped egg-shaped exhibition hall, allowing readers to enter the exhibition hall on the 3rd floor of Eslite Life Suzhou, where they can feel the majestic momentum of the work and appreciate the vivid charm of the calligraphy art.

Dongyangzi said, "Popularization of technology makes life convenient, but who still writes now? The talent that the next generation learns is dance, and the skills that must be known are computers. People are gradually forgetting the culture and art of our ancestors. I have been working hard to create, just to make young people understand the artistic treasures of the East."

Dong Yangzi was born in Shanghai, grew up in Taiwan, and is famous internationally. More than 60 solo and joint exhibitions have been held around the world. "Every time I create, I challenge myself," Dong Yangzi emphasized that the masterpiece "Linjiangxian" has a total of 56 pieces of paper. "I finished writing it in one breath, and the towel hanging around my neck can make a lot of sweat." It is so difficult, Dong Yangzi described it as "After writing it with all my energy, I was almost in a state of half shock."
Dong Yangzi and Eslite have a 20-year cooperation relationship and have jointly held 9 large-scale exhibitions. Due to long-term cooperation and trust, Dong Yangzi also chose to meet with mainland friends who love calligraphy for the first time in Eslite Life in Suzhou. Through the exhibition hall design of designer Chen Ruixian, Dong Yangzi's works are more passionate. Chen Ruixian described, "Dong Yangzi is not just writing, but an unrestrained space." Different from traditional design, the oval egg-shaped space can completely enclose the readers, and the circular appreciation movement allows readers' emotions to be coherent. The ground is covered with fine sand of different heights, leaving picturesque footprints after the readers' walking and trampling. "Stop on the sand pile is like standing on the beach, enjoying the momentum of the rolling Yangtze River", which echoes the work of "Linjiangxian".

Graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tokyo Designers College in Japan in 1986 and was once hailed by Japanese media as one of the five most influential architects in Greater China.Chen Ruixian won many international awards. In 2004, Eslite Bookstore Kaohsiung Dayuan Hundred Store won the "Asia's Most Influential Design Award". In 2009, the "Mochi Private School" installation art cooperated with Dong Yangzi, twice won the "Asia's Most Influential Design Award" and the "Red Dot Design Award" in the Olympic Award in the design industry in 2015.
