But Hon Hai said that its revenue in July was better than the company's expectations based on a month-on-month performance. However, the third quarter outlook is prudent and it is still necessary to closely observe the subsequent changes in inflation, the epidemic and supply chain.
Currently, Foxconn’s important task is to meet the production needs of the iPhone 14 series. It is reported that Foxconn's Shenzhen Longhua factory has increased its employee salary in the iPhone assembly department to 6,480 yuan. In mid-July, the employees of the Foxconn factory were paid 5,280 yuan. This is equivalent to increasing employee rewards to more than 20%.
In the first quarter of this year, Foxconn's revenue was NT$1.4 trillion, the highest quarter of Foxconn's first quarter in history; its net profit reached NT$29.45 billion (approximately US$985.3 million), a year-on-year increase of 5%, the highest quarter of performance in the past eight years; its gross profit margin was 6.02%, a year-on-year increase of 0.22 percentage points. With the release of the iPhone 14 series, Foxconn's third-quarter financial report should have good performance.
