On Wednesday (5th), Foxconn ( Hon Hai Group ) released its latest September financial report, showing that in September, Foxconn's revenue was 822.323 billion New Taiwan dollars (equivalent to RMB 185 billion), an increase of 83.18% month-on-month and 40.39% year-on-year, a record high again.
Since then, in the third quarter of this year, Foxconn's total revenue has NT$1.74 trillion, a month-on-month increase of 15.62% and a year-on-year increase of 24.4%, also hitting a new high in the same period and the fourth highest in history.
With the release of revenue data in the third quarter, Foxconn's total revenue data were also released in the first nine months of this year.
Specifically, in the first nine months of this year, that is, in the first three quarters, Foxconn's total revenue was 4.66 trillion NT$ (equivalent to RMB 1048 billion), an increase of nearly 14% year-on-year (13.66%), setting a new high in the same period.
In other words, based on 243 days, , Foxconn's daily revenue (income) was nearly NT$19.2 billion (equivalent to RMB 4.3 billion) in the first nine months of this year.
So the question is: Why did Foxconn's revenue in the first nine months of this year have been big?
In this regard, Foxconn said that in the first three quarters, Foxconn's four major products had different degrees of growth compared with last year. Specifically:
Due to the release of new products, the hot sales of major products and the overall demand for servers have been strong, which has led to a 2-digit growth in sales of smart consumer electronic products ;
At the same time, the increase in components of acoustics and smart consumer products, new products were released in the first half of the year, and components and other computer terminal products also showed significant growth.
So what will happen in the next 4 quarters?
Foxconn's answer is a bit surprising: is cautiously optimistic!
Foxconn said that in the fourth quarter, the company will closely observe overall demand, inflation, the epidemic and subsequent changes in the supply chain. However, Foxconn still maintains its annual outlook, with expected performance rising from the original flat to growth, and its operation in the second half of the year has a chance to be better than the first half of the year.
As above, as inflation remains high, central banks in various countries are raising interest rates, which has heightened concerns about a global recession, which may hurt consumer demand.
And as Foxconn made the above remarks, people are debating the business strength of Foxconn's big customer, , Apple , or in this difficult economic context.
Even last week, analysts at Bank of America rare downgraded Apple's stock rating and downgraded the iPhone 14's "soft consumer demand" price target.
From the perspective of stock price, Apple's stock price fell by about 12% in September, and has fallen by nearly 20% so far this year.
