Comrade Wang Guangying, originally from Tianjin, was born in Beijing in August 1919. When he was young, he studied at Zhicheng Middle School in Peking. In 1938, he was admitted to the Department of Chemistry of Fu Ren University in Peking. After graduation, he stayed at school to teach. After 1943, he served as director of Tianjin Modern Chemical Factory, director of Tianjin Lisheng Knitting Factory, and secretary-general of Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce. After 1956, he served as the manager of Tianjin Knitwear Weaving Company, deputy chairman and secretary-general of Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce, vice chairman of the All-China Youth Federation, vice chairman of the Tianjin CPPCC, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association, chairman of the Hebei Provincial Committee, deputy chairman of the Tianjin Municipal Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, deputy chairman of Hebei Province, and chairman of the Tianjin Municipal Committee.
