"Zheng Family Night Banquet" is the first Macau World Heritage immersive drama and patriotic education project guided by the Propaganda and Cultural Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, supported by the Tourism Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the Cultural Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region, sponsored by Nanguang Cultural and Creative Industry Co., Ltd., Macau Chinese Kunqu Culture Association, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Drama Association, and obtained academic support from the Zheng Guanying Research Center of Macau University of Science and Technology. It is planned to end the six previews during this year's National Day, and will officially start to the public from November. Through multiple rounds of script seminars, the center put forward opinions and suggestions on the character setting, character conciseness, historical fact descriptions in the script, providing solid academic support for the crew's script creation.
The main creative team of "Zheng Family Night Banquet" Chen Xiaohong, director of Macau, said that in recent years, Macau's performing arts industry has been impacted by the epidemic, but art cannot stop and needs to overcome difficulties and continue to move forward. "Zheng Family Night Banquet" combines drama, traditional art and light and shadow technology in real scenes, allowing tradition and innovation, history and technology, reality and illusion to achieve "cross-border" in the Zheng family's old house. This will be a highlight of "Zheng Family Night Banquet". In addition, the crew recruited local actors from , Greater Bay Area, and Macau.
