In order to make the bus feel as stable as a high-speed rail, in addition to the passengers' feelings, Wuhan Bus Group has also come up with a new method. In order to improve the safety and comfort of citizens and passengers on buses, on September 1 this year, Wuhan Bus Group Optics Valley Operation Company launched the "safe driving one cup of water" mechanism on 8 routes to test the stability of bus driving, so that bus drivers can start steadily, drive steadily, turn steadily, and stop steadily during driving. On September 19, a glass of water was added to the bus bridge of 8 routes including Line 757, Line 732, Line 738, and Line 913 operated in the Wuhan Optics Valley area, which attracted the attention of many citizens and passengers (Jimu News once reported on "The "Safe Driving One Cup of Water" Mechanism" in 8 bus lines in Wuhan Optics Valley" ).

For a long time, Wuhan has had more or less experience taking buses when he was a student. Everyone knows the "strong styles" such as the buses in Wuhan are too bumpy, the speed is too fast, and the forced road rush. However, after Wuhan City won the title of "National Bus City Creation Demonstration City" in 2018, Wuhan Bus Group began to make in-depth improvements to bus speed and condition issues.
According to the third speed limit standard of Wuhan Bus Group's "Regulations on Operation Safety and Production Management of Municipal Bus Group Company": Vehicles are driving according to the speed limit regulations, and the speed limit standard shall not exceed the maximum speed indicated by the speed limit sign; when passing through roads without a central sign line, the speed is controlled within 30 kilometers; within 70 meters away from bus parking stations, sidewalks, intersections, railway intersections, or when encountering rain, snow, fog and poor visibility, the speed is controlled within 30 kilometers; the speed of bridge decks, viaducts, and guide ramps passing through Yangtze River and Hanjiang bridge decks, viaducts, and guide bridge ramps are controlled within 44 kilometers; the speed of non-human-vehicle hybrid sections in the city is controlled within 55 kilometers; the routes passing through highway sections are strictly prohibited from carrying passengers, and the speed is controlled within 65 kilometers.
According to regulations, Wuhan buses need to be less than 30 kilometers per hour under most urban sections of roads, and even on highways or bridges, they need to be controlled within 65 kilometers. With this speed and the weight of the vehicle, sitting on the bus is comparable to that of a high-speed rail. I hope that as time goes by, the new legend of Wuhan buses will be: small high-speed rail in the city.
Back to the story of that glass of water, Wuhan Bus Group's work improvements are changing, but the driver's technology has not changed. Using a glass of water to consider the driver's driving technology may be just the first step in management visualization.
In the future, the legend that Wuhan buses can fly will only pass, and new legends are brewing. The "glass of water" of the bus route is not just water.
