Civil Affairs Cadre Liu Changjiang -
Carefully Helping the Minimum Income Households
"Thank you Director Liu for your help during this period." "Director Liu, thank you for your hard work." The "Director Liu" in the text message is Liu Changjiang, director of the Civil Affairs Office of Xuege Street, Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province. These days, he often receives text messages from the masses, "Every time I see this message, a warm current will surge in my heart. The recognition of the people is the greatest support for our work." Liu Changjiang said with relief.
Over the past period of time, Liu Changjiang has taken the initiative to apply to go to the front line. He feels that in special times, we should always take the life security issues of the needy to heart. "In the early stage of the epidemic, the street adopted the principle of assistance of 'early detection, early intervention, and early rescue' to ensure that the lives of every needy are not affected." Liu Changjiang said: "We learn about the living conditions of every minimum living household in the street through telephone, WeChat, door-to-door visits, etc. If any difficulties are there, we will solve them as soon as possible."
Zhou Shiming is a minimum living household in Xuege Street. He is over 70 years old this year. His wife has been paralyzed in bed for many years. All the family's income depends on the government's minimum living allowance and disability subsidies. After understanding the situation, Liu Changjiang took the initiative to undertake the "one-on-one" assistance work. Every three or four days, they would bring vegetables and other daily necessities to see him. After a while, the two of them became familiar with each other. During a chat, Liu Changjiang found that Zhou Shiming was anxious because he had been staying at home for a long time. Liu Changjiang said, "I try to talk about other topics to divert his attention, and told him that if there are any difficulties, call me directly."
In order to ensure that the basic lives of the needy groups are not affected, Xuege Street also actively issued temporary price subsidies to urban low-income households, and each person can get 55 yuan per month. "In order to ensure that every minimum living allowance can enjoy this benefit, I called them from door to door to ask whether the subsidies are paid in place," said Liu Changjiang.
"Civil Affairs assistance should change to 'blood transfusion' to 'blood production'." This is a sentence that Liu Changjiang said. As the epidemic prevention and control situation continues to improve, he began to find employment opportunities for low-income households, hoping that they can increase their income through their own labor. "The work location is close to home, so I can take care of my family more. I am very satisfied with this job." With the help of Liu Changjiang, Zhang Tuyun, an urban low-income household in Xuege Street, became a community cleaner and earned more than 600 yuan a month.
Liu Changjiang told reporters that although the work pressure has been very high recently, he can do something practical for the people and allow people in need to gain more benefits. He feels very fulfilled in his heart.
Community worker Gao Jing——
Carefully take care of the "old children"
"Auntie! Although the situation has improved now, don't be careless, pay more attention to your health!" When I met the old man Lu Jin in the community, Gao Jing started to chat with him, and the old man laughed, "Okay, you care about me more than my daughter, thank you!"
Gao Jing is the director of the Xinyuan Community Committee of Xincheng District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. There are many old communities in Xincheng Community, and there are more than 3,000 elderly people over 60 years old, including more than 200 empty-nest elderly people. "How to ensure the normal life and physical and mental health of empty-nest elderly people is a big problem," said Gao Jing.
Gao Jing and community staff visited and investigated the elderly and left volunteer service cards for the elderly who were staying in the observation area.Gao Jing said, "The elderly who are lonely, disabled, and observant are important groups we pay attention to. We will call regularly to inquire about the situation. It is difficult to find nannies for a while. We will also clean the elderly and do something within our ability."
During the epidemic prevention period, in order to solve the problem of difficulty in buying vegetables for the people, Hansenzhai Street has set up 8 convenient vegetable spots in total. At the same time, we also contacted the elderly meal help cafeteria, steamed buns and rolls every day, and delivered them to the elderly for free. To date, more than 20,000 steamed buns have been delivered. Resident Guan Ying said, "You can buy fresh vegetables at your doorstep. Sometimes community workers will deliver vegetables and steamed buns to your doorstep, and your heart is warm."
"You have to put your skills in your daily life, understand the residents' situation clearly. If an emergency occurs, we will know which resident needs what the most and where the focus of work should be placed." Gao Jing said that for the elderly who stay at home and are isolated, work must be more about methods. "Age is an old child, you have to be close to your heart and use your affection to make the elderly satisfied."
"Thank you community, my heart is broken!" In the video, 91-year-old grandma Zhang wore a birthday hat and smiled like a child. This video is like a baby in the mobile phone.
It turned out that a while ago, Grandma Zhang's daughter returned home, and both of them became observation personnel and had to observe at home for 14 days. Grandma Zhang felt a knot in her heart. Gao Jing communicated repeatedly with Grandma Zhang's daughter Ms. Li, constantly comforting Grandma Zhang's emotions. After accidentally learning that the old man was on his birthday the next day, Zhang Jing paid out of his own pocket to buy a birthday cake, which gave Grandma Zhang a surprise. Ms. Li said, "It is not only hard-working, but also warms our hearts, allowing us to experience the warmth of our loved ones!"
volunteer Luo Ling -
Being a crutch for the disabled
Push open the empty door and walk into Aunt Qi's main hall. Cook the white rice, cut the shredded meat, and sprinkle a handful of peas tips... The aroma of the meal came into the living room with the sound of the spoon touching the pot. "Xiaolong and Xiaofeng, it's time to eat!" Luo Ling, wearing a red volunteer vest, all arranged the dishes and prepared lunch for Aunt Qi's family of three.
Starting from February, in Yangjiaping Street, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, there is a group of "red vests" busy everywhere. Luo Ling, who has just graduated from university, is one of them. "I saw the Youth League District Committee recruiting volunteers online, but I couldn't sit still at home." Putting on the volunteer's clothes, Luo Ling walked out of her home and served the needy in various communities.
What she missed the most was Aunt Qi and her children. Aunt Qi, who lives in Xinhua Second Village Community, is 71 years old. Both children are disabled and cannot take care of themselves. Usually, the family can still live a life with the care of community cadres and neighbors. However, recently, Aunt Qi fell ill and had been treated in the hospital for more than 10 days. What should I do if the two children at home?
According to the community's arrangement, Luo Ling would come to her door with vegetables and daily necessities every one or two days. Cooking, boiling medicine, cleaning... At the beginning, Xiaolong and Xiaofeng "didn't appreciate it" with Luo Ling, not eating food or drinking water. Over time, I became a mature face and gradually opened my heart. Not long ago, Luo Ling took Xiaofeng to the hospital for examination.
In fact, this period of time when he was a volunteer was Luo Ling's first close contact with the disabled. In another community, Luo Ling also cared for a blind couple. "You can't move the items at home at will." Luo Ling told reporters that every time she came to the door, she had to be careful, for fear that the couple would not be able to touch something if they moved. "I was on the phone two days ago and my blind massage parlor resumed work, so I felt relieved." In addition to daily housework, Luo Ling also had to deliver various daily necessities to her home in time, knocking on the door from door to remind her how to use it. When they go out for something, Luo Ling is their eyes and crutches.
Volunteers like Luo Ling, the Jiulongpo District Committee of the Communist Youth League recruited more than 900 people. During the epidemic prevention and control period, they undertake a lot of meticulous work. "There are 3,596 people in the community and only 8 community cadres, so how can we get over it!" Liu Xin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Xinhua Ercun Community, told reporters, "Thanks to the volunteers, we have helped us a lot.”
In the past two days, the sky in Chongqing has cleared up, and the trees outside the window have sprouted new buds. Aunt Qi, who had just been discharged from the hospital, sat on a square stool, took the Chinese medicine handed over by Luo Ling, and said, "I feel at ease with volunteers here. ”
