Recently, market research institution TrendForce released the latest revenue rankings of the world's top 10 wafer foundries. Judging from the rankings in the Q2 quarter of 2022, TSMC ranked first, Samsung ranked second, and UMC ranked third, with revenues of US$18.15 billion, US$5.588 billion and US$2.448 billion, respectively. SMIC ranked fifth with revenue of US$1.903 billion.

It is worth mentioning that the total revenue of the top 10 wafer foundries in the world is US$33.197 billion, of which TSMC has US$18.15 billion, accounting for nearly 55% of the share, and it is the only one! The total of the other nine companies is not as high as TSMC. It can be said that TSMC has made a lot of money by relying on chip foundry.
In addition, SMIC achieved a quarterly growth of 3.3%, of which the smart home sector grew by 23.4%, while the smartphone sector fell to 25.4%.
