Korean game company, publisher of "Karts", Nexon, recently released its third-quarter results. The company's quarterly revenue for mobile games was 18.6 billion yen (1.05 billion yuan), a 44% decrease compared with the same period last year.

In recent years, Nexon has been trying to diversify its business to areas outside the PC platform. This resulted in less than 67% of its PC platform revenue in 2020, and the remaining 33% came from mobile device platforms.
Nexon Overall revenue in the third quarter was 75 billion yen (4.25 billion RMB), a year-on-year decrease of 4%. The company said its sales were driven mainly by Dungeons and Warriors, Island of Adventure, FIFA Online 4 and Kingdom of the Wind: Yeon.
During the third quarter, the company's net income was 38 billion yen (2.15 billion RMB), an increase of 132% compared with the same period last year. This is because Nexon's net income was only 16.33 billion yen last year, down 59% from the same period a year ago.

Nexon expects the company's fourth quarter revenue to be between 51.2 billion yen and 57 billion yen, up 23% to 33% year-on-year. Estimated net income is 285 million to 3.57 billion yen.
