Wu Jiaqiang and his wife are small station employees of the Kaili work section of the China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Corporation. This year, the workshop notified the work area to report the duty list. The couple once again took the initiative to apply to stay. This is the third Spring Festival they have been on duty in the six chicken line work areas.
Six chicken stations are a fifth-class station deep in the mountains, with a village in front of the village and no shop behind the shop. The terrain is steep and railway rails pass through the valley. Since the opening of the Hunan-Guizhou Railway in 1975, generations of work employees have been replaced here, and the Wu Jiaqiang and his wife have the longest cumulative duty time during holidays. 47-year-old Wu Jiaqiang was appointed as the foreman in the 2018 production layout adjustment and was entrusted with the important task of "soldiers and generals". His 365-day mission a year is to take his employees to inspect, repair and maintain the 18.5-kilometer line and 9 sets of switches in front of him to ensure driving safety.
This year's Spring Festival, Wu Jiaqiang and Zhong Guiping still chose to stay on duty. "We have been in the small station for 330 days all year round," said his wife, "I have integrated into this place. When I walked out of the small station, I always thought of rushing back early, and thinking about the small station's 'home'." When asked why I always applied for duty on my own initiative, Wu Jiaqiang replied bluntly: "We can stay, and we can let two more employees go home to reunite with our relatives."

"Including us couple, there are only 10 employees, 8 men and 2 women." Wu Jiaqiang said with a smile. "There are very few couples like us in the same work area. We have to work together to ensure safety and ensure smooth Spring Festival travel. We have no choice but to do it."
"Being a family, we have a more tacit understanding at work. We help each other when working, and we have less concern and more confidence," Zhong Guiping said seriously.
