1. Inheriting the pioneering spirit

With the care and support of the Party and the government, Shanxi Academy of Applied Science and Technology has gone through a 31-year struggle. Over the past 31 years, our school has fully implemented the Party’s education policy, adhered to the school-running philosophy of “surviving by quality and developing by characteristics”, practiced the three-three spirit of “confidence, self-reliance, innovation, creation and entrepreneurship, and taste quality brand”, continuously standardized teaching management, continuously improved school conditions, steadily improved teaching quality, and achieved historic leapfrog development. htmlThe beautiful grand occasion of the 430th anniversary of the school seemed to be right in front of you, and in a blink of an eye, the annual rings of time turned for another 365 days. Time is fast, but we never let it go every minute. We are all working hard and starting businesses. Over the past year, the school has fully implemented the spirit of the Party’s plenary session, implemented the decisions and deployments of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Government and the Education Department. Under the guiding ideology of “promoting construction through evaluation to seek norms”, it has strengthened connotation construction, paid attention to the investment and construction of school conditions, paid attention to the construction of teaching management standards, and paid attention to the continuous improvement of teaching quality, and made unremitting efforts in all aspects. Over the past year, we have experienced the test of epidemic prevention work. The several rounds of epidemics since the beginning of spring are shocking. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the school has worked together to prevent and control the epidemic strictly, tightly, practically, scientifically, accurately and effectively, implement prevention and control tasks in a meticulous manner, strictly prevent and stick to the campus position, and the whole school has played a game of chess, teachers, students and staff are united, and firmly build a defense line for the prevention and control of the science and technology academy. It can be said that in this round of epidemic test, we have delivered a qualified answer to the society.
What is gratifying is that even due to the impact of the epidemic, our school has still done a lot of work in improving school conditions, strengthening team building, standardizing teaching management, improving teaching quality, and deepening professional course construction. All undertakings have made great progress in the context of promoting construction through evaluation -
(I) basic construction has made great progress.
Over the past year, our school’s teaching facilities infrastructure has achieved remarkable results. The appearance of the Academy of Sciences is changing with each passing day and showing a vibrant vitality. The East District Gymnasium is about to be completed and put into use; two high-rise teacher apartments in the West District have been topped out and will be put into use in December this year. The West District Teaching Building has been built to six floors, the Experimental Building has been topped out and will be put into use by the end of June; the West District's high-rise student apartment, education and training building, hospital building, and a new reception center on the east side of Science and Technology Avenue will be started soon...
(II) Teaching management is constantly standardized.
According to the requirements of the school's evaluation and construction work "1366" project, the school has strengthened system construction, revised a series of systems such as teaching management, student management, administrative management, cadre management, and party and mass management, and completed the printing of system compilation .Especially in the construction of the teaching management system, the results have been remarkable, ensuring that the school’s teaching work has rules and regulations to follow. At the same time, the talent training plan for each major was revised, the standardization of daily teaching management was strengthened, and activities such as self-evaluation and assessment of teaching units, professional talent training evaluation, paper random checks and test paper evaluation were carried out, greatly standardizing teaching management and laying a firm foundation for improving teaching quality.
(III) Vigorously promote the construction of experimental training sites.
school has established a laboratory management office, selected experienced professional talents to serve as directors, and established the Engineering Experimental Center, Finance Management Experimental Center, and Art Training Center, which optimized and integrated the experimental training resources on campus and strengthened the construction and management of experimental training clusters. Since last year, the school has invested 19 million yuan and has built a total of 26 different laboratories and training rooms. We will invest another tens of millions of yuan to increase the construction of comprehensive laboratories. According to the requirements of promoting construction through evaluation, meet the output rate of experimental teaching, and accept the qualification assessment completely based on the requirements of meeting the construction standards.
(IV) The construction of the teaching team has been significantly enhanced.
Under the requirement of promoting construction through evaluation, both the teaching team and the teaching management team have been effectively enriched and optimized. In the past year, the school has successively introduced nearly 50 high-level management cadres and more than 150 full-time teachers, greatly enriching the team building. In addition, our school has made great efforts to improve and develop teachers' professional qualities, and has achieved obvious results. Many teachers from our school have successively won honors in the Shanxi Provincial College Course Ideological and Political Teaching Design Competition, Applied Curriculum Development Cloud Workshop, and the Second National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition Shanxi Division. They are a microcosm of many outstanding front-line teachers in our school.
(V) The evaluation and construction work has been solid and powerfully promoted.
In accordance with the "1366 Evaluation and Construction Project Implementation Plan", the whole school has stepped up efforts to promote construction through evaluation, actively promote construction to meet standards, and focus on the construction requirements of "quantitative indicators" and "connotation indicators", further increase investment to improve school conditions, strive to standardize teaching management and improve teaching quality under the guidance of experts. Among the 136 major quantitative indicators, 68% of the data showed an upward or continuous growth trend. Among the 23 core quantitative indicators, the comprehensive data compliance rate has been above 70%. Of the 1033 supporting materials, 731 have been completed so far, making great progress and laying a solid foundation for passing the qualification assessment.
(VI) Teachers' teaching ability level has generally improved.
We adopt a combination of "bringing in and going out" to strengthen the construction of the "dual-teacher and dual-energy" team and improve teachers' practical teaching ability; at the same time, the Teacher Development Center actively carries out layered teacher training and innovatively implements 68 "Eagle Plan" training sessions; launches classified training for all teachers, and invites 28 experts inside and outside the school to conduct a total of 72 training sessions; organizes 34 training sessions of various types such as innovation and entrepreneurship, professional course construction, curriculum reform forums, and sub-classrooms. In addition, by implementing the young teacher mentoring system, we will give full play to the leading role of backbone teachers in "passing on and helping". By carrying out micro-class competitions, teaching innovation competitions, teaching basic skills competitions, etc., we can cover all teaching links of teachers, use competitions to promote teaching, and help teachers in the school to generally improve their teaching abilities.
(VII) has increased the efforts in curriculum construction. In terms of curriculum construction,

Over the past year, our school has sent more than 5,000 qualified talents to the society, and has signed industry-university-research cooperation agreements with many enterprises and units inside and outside the province; and has discussed and built seven industrial colleges including the Internet, architecture, information creation, big data, dubbing, intelligent manufacturing, health care, etc., which have achieved innovative development of regional education and industry linkage. At the same time, it has actively cooperated with the local government and comprehensive reform experimental zone to play a positive role in project construction and product development, education and training, cultural activities, skills competitions, conference services, etc., and has been widely praised by all walks of life.
(9) The campus environment has greatly improved.
Among the top ten cultural landscapes in the East District, we have completed acceptance and put into use of the red cultural base, pick-up and drop-off parking lot, and the West Gate parking lot. The construction of other East Lake Cultural Park, Green Apple Paradise, Two Lakes ecological landscape, Art Building Environmental Art Landscape, etc. is being carried out in an orderly manner, and a three-dimensional greening pattern with high and low combinations of flowers, plants and trees, and the orderly arrangement of environmental education has been made.
A year of hard work has reaped fruitful results.

2. Create a better future
Mr. Li Dazhao once said: "The golden age is not behind us, but before us; not in the past, but in the future." Today's achievements are hard-won. To sum up the experience and lessons, we should focus on the future and stand in the critical year of the new journey of the "14th Five-Year Plan". We must combine warm celebrations with calm thinking, think about the long-term future of the Academy of Sciences, and better shoulder the responsibilities and missions entrusted to us by the times through unremitting efforts and down-to-earth efforts. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, we will "anchor a goal, focus on three strengthenings, and continue to nine persistences". The "one big goal" is to build the school into a high-level applied university; the "three strengthenings" are to comprehensively strengthen the leadership of the Party, comprehensively strengthen teaching management and investment, and comprehensively strengthen the construction of the teacher team; the "nine persistences" are:

Yesterday morning, our school’s Sanchuang College was officially established. This milestone event will help our school further promote the integration of industry and education and promote school-enterprise cooperation.
