Ichiba Semiconductor was founded in July 2022 and was established by Delta Electronics for NT$320 million ( approximately RMB 72 million ). The company focuses on providing GaN solutions. Its product line includes GaN discrete devices, system-level packaging and system-on-chip , and has all passed the strict inspection applied to the parent company's power supply system.
For this financing, Dr. Xing Taigang, general manager of Ice Semiconductor, said that becoming strategic partners with industry advanced companies such as Zhongjingmei, Rom and Lizhi will help them establish an ecosystem in the fields of substrate materials, IC design, application and system solutions , and accelerate the creation of GaN technology applications with higher competitiveness.

GaN device design and manufacturing
In the field of gallium nitride, Rom announced a cooperation with GaN Systems in 2018; in 2021, Rom developed 50V GaN HEMTh, increasing the rated gate source voltage from a typical 6V to 8V, which not only improves the design margin, but also improves reliability.
This year, Rohm started to focus on gallium nitride. In March, Rohm announced the establishment of a mass production system of 150V voltage-with-voltage GaN HEMT; in April, Rohm announced the joint development of 600V voltage-with-voltage GaN power device with Delta.

Lizhi Electronics was founded in 2005. It is a subsidiary of computer company ASUS investment. It is one of the few design companies in Taiwan, China that can provide both GaN nitride drive and discrete power devices. In March this year, Lizhi Electronics has achieved listing , with revenue of NT$4.199 billion in 2020 and net profit after tax of NT$438 million.
According to the official website information, the uPI series high-speed GaN driver product contains 3 different devices, designed for GaN field effect transistors (FETs) that require 5V gate drive.
