I went to Thailand with a group for the first time. It was not considered shopping, and it cost about 5,300 yuan, but the experience was very bad. I had never been to the night market and so on, and I didn’t experience much ethnic customs. I followed the group one day.
Later, when I had time, I prepared a free trip with my friends. My friend was busy at work, so I made my own guide, booked hotels online, and air tickets.
Let me tell you about my 8-day itinerary and the approximate cost in Thailand.
About visa: Our visa on arrival at that time was free, but considering that we might have to queue up and waste time, we made an electronic visa online directly. Just fill in the information and pay 500 baht (about 115 yuan). It can usually be passed. When you receive the email, print the electronic visa QR code. Just hand it over to the customs staff when you pass the customs. Pass it in 5 minutes.
Because I want to save money, I booked the red-eye flight . The flight at 5:40 in the morning, Guangzhou to Chiang Mai ,400 yuan. I booked the Chiang Mai Flower Lotus Resort Hotel online in advance, 697 yuan/3 nights, and the hotel provides pick-up service, about 50 baht per person. The hotel owner is Chinese and gave us a lot of travel advice. The hotel is not very far from Chiang Mai Ancient City . It is about 20 minutes' walk. You can also see the local Thai style along the way, which feels very good.
1-3 days are in Chiang Mai. Most of the attractions in Chiang Mai are concentrated in the ancient city. You can also visit for 2 or 3 days. We also went to the nearby Shuanglong Temple (tickets of 30 baht), Ningman Road, Chiang Mai University (free tickets, but can only be visited by electric car on campus, 60 baht per person), Saturday Night Market, Sunday Night Market. Tickets for these attractions are very small, and they are basically the cost of taking a bus and eating.
4-6 days, Pai , the fare from Chiang Mai to Pai is 200 baht per person, we booked the Mont Saint Michel Resort Hotel, 373 yuan/2 nights. This independent cottage hotel is very casual and warm. Even if you don’t do anything, you can sit there for the whole afternoon by making a cup of coffee. Stand-in cottage-Windmill Hotel-Pink Small Building-Mari Pai Big Tree Swing-Yellow cottage-Red Bus-Strawberry Garden-Ba County Grand Canyon-World War II Bridge (all of the above attractions are free). The clouds come to the viewing platform to watch the sunrise, the ticket is 20 baht per person. If you go to see the sunrise, you must spare your coat. The mountain is colder. If you drive, be careful. The mountain road is steep, especially the last section.
7-8 days, I went to Bangkok , and the air ticket from Chiang Mai to Bangkok is 269 yuan. We stayed at the Villa Hotel Bangkok for RMB 561/2 nights. Bangkok is very hot, there are many people and the cars are very congested. If there is no place to go, it is not recommended to travel to Bangkok. The place we live is very close to , Four-faced Buddha , and we can get there in one subway station, and it is only more than 20 minutes' walk. We went to Grand Palace (tickets 500 baht/person), Rachada Train Night Market (night market with internet celebrity volcanic ribs), Four-faced Buddha, Siam Square .
The return flight ticket from Bangkok to Guangzhou is 398 yuan, and the journey is over.
The entire journey, 7 nights hotel + 3 flight tickets + visa fees, 2 people spread out a total of about 2,100 yuan per person, and the attractions in Chiang Mai and Pai County basically do not require tickets, and the food is very cheap, so after 8 days, not counting shopping, our spending is about 3,000 yuan. It's cheaper than traveling in China for a few days.
I was afraid that the length of the article was too long, so I briefly wrote about this itinerary. In the future, I will organize the detailed itinerary and experience to share with you, and I will also recommend some delicacies for you. Friends who like it can follow me.
