Thailand Cabinet approved the extension of the stay time for foreigners in Thailand
On September 20, the cabinet meeting approved the draft announcement of the Ministry of the Interior on extending the length of stay for certain categories of foreigners in Thailand. The draft
is essentially to extend the stay period of certain types of foreigners in Thailand after entering Thailand. The implementation period of this plan is from October 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023. The details are as follows:
1. Foreigners applying for an visa to arrive can extend the stay period from no more than 15 days to no more than 30 days.
2. Foreigners who have reached an agreement with the Thai government to exempt their visa from passport holders can extend their stay from no more than 30 days to no more than 45 days.
3. For visa-free foreigners who temporarily enter Thailand and obtain unilaterally given by Thailand are Por 30, they can extend their stay from no more than 30 days to no more than 45 days.
