On April 11, 1986,
FBI, Miami-Dade County, FBI, USA, was chasing two car theft suspects at that time. At around 9:30 am that day, eight FBIs had determined the location of the suspects and immediately planned to close the Internet and arrest them. But they did not expect that the two suspects held heavy firepower. In the next 5 minutes, both sides repelled 150 fires, which eventually led to the death of two robbers and two FBI agents and the injury of five other agents. 8VS2, it is indeed embarrassing to achieve such a record, and then the FBI also casually put the pot on the lack of power of the gun.
MiamiMiamiI have thought about the case of police and gangster gun battles. Most people have heard of this article. I will continue this article from a human perspective and sort out the entire logical process of this case with everyone.
As usual, let’s talk about two thieves first, William Madix and Michael Pratt
(William and Michael)
(the cover of the film’s chasing the murderer, don’t say it’s quite similar)
First of all, both of them have been soldiers. William was born in 1951 and joined the Marine Corps in 1969 as a cook. It was probably too boring. By 1973, he joined the Army again. After completing the parachuting training, he was assigned to the 101st Division’s military police department to find a squad leader.
Michael was born in 54 and joined the Army in 1972 and later joined the parachuting training. He was later assigned to the 101st Division Gendarmerie Department, where the two of them met.
I don’t know how these two people have a private relationship, but they have a lot of common ground. During his service in the army, he loved to play with guns, and even had the underworld hobby of robbing banks. The most exaggerated thing is that their wives are particularly prone to death.
For example, William's first wife was tied and cut in the bathroom of the hospital and died of a slit. Michael's second wife was killed by a shotgun at home. Both were identified as suspects at the time, but were not prosecuted in the end...
Okay, let's continue to return to the main line. Around 1983, they both retired from the army together. Then go to Miami to work in landscaping and yard pruning business. Originally, these two people might have lived a stable life because of this, but in 1985 something changed their life trajectory.
At that time, the two soldiers saw someone selling vending machines in the newspaper. They thought that the streets are full of these container machines now, and it doesn’t require any manual labor to sell them on the roadside. It’s so delicious to make money while lying down. So they ordered 10 vending machines from the man named Earl for $10,000. But after the machine arrived, it was found that it was all broken. Are these two soldiers easy to mess with?
After several negotiations on requesting returns failed, the two of them came to the door with guns to collect debts physically. Earl was so panicked when he saw these two stubborn and was so shirked that we would go to the bank to withdraw money. In the morning, we would have a coffee in the restaurant next to the bank and wait for them to open the door.
Earl is obviously a big asshole. There are notes in that restaurant chewing donuts every morning. As soon as they entered the door, Earl ran to the tip and said, "Uncle Police and these two kidnapped me. They had guns..."
The police immediately locked the soldiers, searched their bodies, and searched the car, but found nothing because they didn't bring weapons that morning. The matter was left unresolved. Bingpi later found a lawyer to sue Earl, but before the procedure was completed, they had already died in the subsequent gun battle.
Perhaps after experiencing this, the three views of the Bingpi began to change. They were panicked when they saw Earl being pointed at by a gun, thinking that no matter whether there was an vending machine or not, they could make money by pressing the gun on someone else's head. So since October 1985, these two people had no intention of doing greening and pruning, and were all focused on doing the robber business.
85 On October 4, 085, the two shot Emilio and stole his golden Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the crime, and then they threw the body in a pit where birds do not shit.
85 On October 9, 85, the two robbed a Loomis escort truck at the door of a fast food restaurant, and stole $400,000
85. On October 10, 85, the two tried to rob a escort truck of Wells Fargo . After opening the door of the foyer, they broke the fire with the escort guards, and then fled. One of the guards died of serious injuries
On October 17, 85, the two tried to rob Barnett's bank, and hit the Loomis escort truck that he had robbed on the 9th at the door. The guards were all the same people.
Guard: MD is here again? Isn't this too much to treat me like a human being?
Then the two sides exchanged fire, and the soldiers fled
11, 85, the two robbed Florida National Bank, but only stole a cashier bag containing $10,000. Maybe they thought 10,000 was too little, so they immediately went to the Miami Professional Savings Bank and snatched $41,469.
On January 10, 1986, they stopped the Barnett Bank's escort car on the road and robbed $54,000. So far, they drove the stolen golden Chevrolet Monte Carlo, but this time they abandoned the car when they fled, after all, the car had been targeted.
On March 12, 1986, the two snatched another black Chevrolet Monte Carlo and shot the owner Joseph, throwing the body into the pit where the bird did not shit. However, Joseph was magically seriously injured and did not die. When he woke up, he saw Emilio who was rotten to the point of maggots beside him. He was frightened and called the police quickly.
(a sketch of two soldiers drawn by the police based on the description after Joseph called the police)
On March 19, 86, the two ran to grab Barnett's bank and scored $8,338.
At this stage, the FBI has set its sights on this black Chevrolet Monte Carlo, but they are not sure if the stolen car is related to a major bank robbery recently, so they are just trying to search the vehicles across the city and observe the suspect's movements. (For example, squat at the doors of each bank to observe whether there is a black Chevrolet to check out the site)
From the morning of April 11, 1986, 11 cars and 14 FBIs began to patrol. At around 9:30, the FBI discovered the suspect's vehicle, and the climax was next.
Let’s look at the picture above first. At that time, the FBI car No. 1/2/3 went to intercept the black Chevrolet driven by the suspect. FBI: Car No. 2 hit the suspect directly from left to right, causing him to deviate from the route and stop. On the right side of the suspect's car are two melon-eating social vehicles, and then FBI: Car No. 1 drives to the back to block Chevrolet's backward route, and then the shooting begins.
I will expand from everyone's perspective. Let's talk about it first. At that time, William was holding a Smith Wesson 3000 12-caliber pump-action shotgun, and Michael was holding a Mini14 semi-automatic rifle.
2 car, Manazzo:
This guy was ready for a gun battle, so he took out his revolver early and put it in the passenger seat. As a result, the pistol fell to the floor when hitting the suspect's vehicle. Manazzo tried to pick it up, but then he was shotgun by William in the head and back, and then he opened the car door and slipped behind the low wall on the west side across the road. This guy is also the only one in the case who has not shot a shot. If Manazzo hadn't seemed to be from Italian, I would have doubted whether he was of French descent.
3 car, Hanlong and Mirares
car 0 also participated in the stopping. After the impact, he lost control and fell head-on into the wall on the west side of the road. Hanlong lost his .357 wheel during the impact, but at least he had a .38SP wheel. He then started running to the back of FBI: 1 to shoot at the suspect's vehicle, and injured his right hand in the firefight.
Mila Larez is a man who ran to the FBI with a Remington 870 and a rotor: the back of the No. 4 car, shot at the suspect, and was hit by the Mini14 on his left arm, and was injured miserably. In the end, he killed two soldiers, but this will be discussed later.
1 Car: Groggen and Dove
Groggen is myopia and loses glasses due to impact when stopping the vehicle. After parking, use the Smith Wesson 459 9mm semi-automatic pistol to shoot at the suspect, but all strokes.
Doven got off the car and shot at the suspect with the car as a cover. At this time, Michael was trying to climb out of the window and was hit by Doven's 9mm semi-automatically. The bullet incident diagram is as follows, piercing through the right lung and brachial artery, only 2 inches away from the heart. According to common sense, even if the center is not hit, such injuries are fatal, but Michael still has the ability to move. This incident also caused public doubts about the 9mm stopping force.
Doven fired more than 20 shots at Michael, and in addition to his lungs, he also hit his leg twice, but Michael still did not lose his power of movement. Then Doven's pistol was hit by Michael.
(Doven's pistol was broken by Mini14)
At this time, Michael went around to the side of the FBI1 car. At this time, Dove, Grogan and Hanlong were in the red circle. These three were Michael who was bypassed at the same time. Dove was shot twice in the head, Grogan was shot in the chest, and Hanlong was shot in the groin and fainted.
FBI Car No. 4: Inspector McNeill
McNeill shot at the suspect with a Smith Wesson.357 runner after Manazzo was injured, and two shots hit William, one of which hit the neck, which made William faint. He was then hit by Michael's fire in his right arm and neck, causing serious injuries. The wheel was soaked in blood and could not be filled. Inspector McNeil had been lying in the pile of blood since then.
FBI Car No. 5: Orantia and Lisner
These two cowards have been hiding in the car and shooting black guns. One holds a Smith Wesson 357 revolver and the other holds a 459 semi-automatic pistol. At the beginning of the gunfight, Orantia was hit by bullet fragments of Michael's Mini14 and was slightly injured. Then the two of them kept flirting at Michael with the car as cover.
The suspect
FBI process has been finished, so I will sort out the whole process again, and the suspect's final punishment has to be discussed.
According to the logic of the timeline, Manauzzi of the blue car stopped the suspect's vehicle (X mark) and lost his gun. He was then injured by William's shotgun, and then ran to the bottom wall to survive.
Inspector McNeill shot at the suspect and injured William, but was then seriously injured by Michael.
Doven and Groggen of the white car got off the car and broke the fire with the suspect, and were injured by each other.
Milares of the orange car ran to the rear of McNeill's car and shot at the suspect, while Hanlong ran to the back of Dove's car and shot at the suspect.
The suspect Michael got out of the car and went around to the side, killed Groggan and Dove, seriously injured Hanlong, and then got into Dove's car and tried to escape.
William, who was injured, woke up and entered Michael's car and tried to escape.
The injured Mirares took out his .357 wheel and slowly approached the suspect who was trying to start the vehicle. Then six shots were fired at close range, three of which hit William in the head and one shot to Michael in the chest and penetrate the spine. Two soldiers died and the gunfight ended.
Orantia and Lisna at the far end of the distance were soy sauce, and Lisna was even unharmed.
Add some pictures
(The suspect's car was sandwiched between two cars. Although it was riddled with holes, it can be seen that the kinetic energy of 9mm, .38SP, .38SP+P is really weak)
In the middle is the inspector McNeil's car, the white on the right is Dove's, and the left is Manazzo and the suspect. The two yellow cloths on the back of Dove's car should be covered with the bodies of Dove and Groggen. The piece of dead ghost suspects on the side of the car door may have been dragged out of the car.
The picture above is all the weapons of the FBI and the two soldiers who were on the same day. The orange one is the soldiers who are on the same day. It can be seen that there are trolls, AR, and MP5 in the FBI car. But there were only two trolleys in the five cars on site, and the MP5 and AR were in several other cars that were not on site.
This picture is a drawing in the FBI archive. I want to combine my articles, I should have a rough understanding of the entire case process.
Logically speaking, I have to talk about the weapons that occurred in the incident and the subsequent police weapon reform, but there are too many words, no one will read them. I will update them next time.
