At this moment, hundreds of millions of people are hurriedly embracing their desire for reunion and their expectations for home, full of sense of belonging, and hurriedly embarking on the road to home. Like all traffic managers in their hearts, they have a common wish: "Safe Spring Festival travel rush"!
Spring Festival travel
Spring Festival travel, that is, Spring Festival transportation, is a large-scale high transportation pressure phenomenon that occurs around the Chinese Lunar New Year. With the Spring Festival as the center, it is about 40 days in total. It is released by the National Development and Reform Commission. The national transportation peak that the National Railway Administration, the Ministry of Transport and the State Administration of Civil Aviation, conducts special transportation arrangements according to this is called the Spring Festival travel rush.

The 2020 Spring Festival travel rush is the earliest Spring Festival travel rush in the past eight years. At the beginning of the Spring Festival travel rush, students leave school during holidays and migrant workers return home. The peak passenger flow before the festival comes earlier and more urgently. Self-driving cars are woven with long-distance passenger transport and tourist chartered vehicles, and transportation methods are more diverse. With busy winter production and concentrated consumption during the Spring Festival, the transportation demand for key materials such as coal, grain, and daily necessities such as meat, poultry, eggs and milk is even stronger, and passenger and freight transportation needs to be coordinated and taken into account. In addition, new situations such as the cancellation of provincial toll stations on expressways may bring new problems in traffic management. Bad weather such as rain, snow, frozen, smog and other haze will have adverse effects on travel. Traffic safety during the Spring Festival travel season is facing severe tests, and the pressure to ensure safety and smooth traffic is huge. Quanhu Expressway Traffic Police accurately grasped the new situation and characteristics of this year's Spring Festival travel work and carefully deployed their work. From effectively strengthening the inspection of hidden dangers and reducing safety risks; strengthening safety control and escorting safe travel; to effectively strengthening the clearing of congestion and ensuring smooth traffic; strengthening cooperation and linkage, and doing a good job in emergency management; to effectively strengthening publicity and reminding, creating a strong atmosphere, and taking multiple measures to actively do a good job in traffic security during the Spring Festival travel rush. Now, in combination with the traffic management situation in previous years, the "two announcements and one reminder" during the Spring Festival travel and the Spring Festival holiday will be released to the whole society, and a reminder and reference for the majority of traffic participants and make their own travel plans in advance.
1. Travel status quo
During the Spring Festival travel rush:
1. It is expected that the peak of congestion will occur from 10:00 to 12:00 on January 17.
is expected to be the peak day before the holiday on January 21st (the 27th day of the 12th lunar month);
is expected to be the peak day after the holiday on January 30th (the sixth day of the first lunar month) and February 9th (the 16th day of the first lunar month) and
is expected to be the peak day after the holiday on January 31st (the seventh day of the first lunar month) is the peak day after the holiday on passenger flow.
is expected to see a short-term return peak on February 9 (the 16th day of the first lunar month).
2. Most self-driving travelers will choose to travel in the middle and close range, and the passenger flow of operating buses and tourist chartered buses will also become an upward trend.
A series of related problems such as unfamiliar road conditions, vehicle failures, highway emergency lane parking problems, reverse traffic, node congestion, etc. will increase, resulting in increased traffic congestion.

3. Road condition analysis and judgment
January 24 (New Year's Eve) 0:00 to January 30 (Sixth day of the Chinese New Year) 24:00 is the free period of expressways on the "Spring Festival". The traffic volume of expressways around major key urban areas will increase significantly. The traffic volume of various medium and short-distance self-driving cars and cross-provincial self-driving cars on highways will increase significantly. After statistical analysis of vehicles at the entrances and exits of various toll stations in the early stage of the Spring Festival, it is expected that Qingshui, Xiahe Qing, Zongzhai and Jiuquan toll stations may be congested. I hope that drivers will try to avoid peak travel when traveling and reasonably choose travel methods and travel times.
4. Diversion and bypass plan during festivals
(I) When congestion or traffic control occurs between the Zongzhai toll station (2373km + 100m) and the Jiuquan toll station (2392km + 800m): From east to west: Diversion at the Zongzhai toll station, open the central isolation belt at the congestion site, and let small vehicles and passenger cars return to the Zongzhai toll station, and then diversion is carried out to the Jiuquan or Jiayuguan toll station via National Highway 312. From west to east: Diversion is carried out at the Jiuquan toll station, open the central isolation belt at the congestion site, and allow small vehicles and passenger cars to return to Jiuquan. After diversion is carried out, go to the Zongzhai or Qingshui toll station via National Highway 312.
(II) When congestion or traffic control occurs between the Jiayuguan toll station (2411km+800m) of Jiuquan (2392km+800m): From west to east: Diversion at the Jiayuguan toll station, open the central isolation belt at the congestion site, and allow small vehicles and buses to return to the Jiayuguan toll station, and then diversion is carried out to the Jiuquan toll station via National Highway 312. From east to west: Diversion is carried out at the Jiuquan Toll Station, open the central isolation belt at the congestion site, and allow small vehicles and buses to return to the Jiuquan Toll Station. After diversion is carried out, go to the Jiayuguan Toll Station via National Highway 312.
(III) When congestion or traffic control occurs in sections of the Zongzhai Toll Station (2373km + 100m) to Xiaheqing Toll Station (2354km + 300m): From west to east: diversion at the Zongzhai Toll Station, guide the vehicle to drive along National Highway 312 to Xiaheqing or Qingshui; east to west: diversion at the Xiaheqing Toll Station, guide the vehicle to detour along National Highway 312 to Zongzhai or Jiuquan.
(IV) When congestion or traffic control occurs in sections of Xiaheqing Toll Station (2354km + 300m) to Qingshui Toll Station (2330km + 300m), from west to east: the diversion vehicle detour along National Highway 312 to Qingshui Toll Station; from east to west: the diversion vehicle detour along National Highway 312 to Xiaheqing Toll Station or Zongzhai Toll Station.
5. "Spring Festival" safe driving tips
(I) Remember and master relevant travel instructions. First, carefully check the vehicle's technical status before traveling, eliminate safety hazards, plan the travel route as early as possible, and try to travel at staggered times and peaks; second, pay attention to slow down in the snow and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front to avoid emergency braking and emergency steering to prevent the vehicle from slipping;
(2) Focus on road conditions information in sections of congestion. During the Spring Festival, traffic flow in key cities increased. Drivers and passengers, please understand and grasp the road conditions information at this point in advance, plan your travel routes as early as possible, and try to travel at the staggered peak hours as possible. Please be patient when encountering road congestion, do not occupy the emergency lane, do not overtake or intersperse waiting vehicles to ensure safety.
(III) Reject fatigue driving. Noon and midnight are the physical fatigue periods for people. At this time, driving is very easy to drive fatigue and cause traffic accidents. It is best to choose nearby service areas, entrances and exits and other safety areas. After resting enough, you should not drive fatigue after driving for a long time.
(IV) Refused to drive by drinking. During the Spring Festival, go out for fun, go back to your hometown to visit relatives, and reunite your family. Drink moderately and do not drive in the middle of drunkenness. Drinking alcohol will cause people to react and move slowly, and the driver's ability to control the vehicle will decrease. Please do not drive in the middle of drunkenness. Drinking alcohol will cause blurred vision, inaccurate judgment, slow reaction, and slow movement. The probability of illegal driving under the influence of alcohol increases. Do not drive a motor vehicle after drinking.
(V) Refuse to speed.Excessive speed is one of the key reasons for highway accidents. Speeding is one of the first reasons for longer braking distances in the vehicle, two of which will increase the wear of the vehicle, three of which will interfere with normal traffic, four of which will reduce the reaction capacity, and five of which will aggravate the consequences of the accident. Therefore, please drive slowly and do not speed.
(VI) How to deal with vehicle failures at the site. If a vehicle fails while driving on the highway, the driver should immediately turn on the vehicle's hazard alarm flash (double flash) and place a faulty vehicle warning sign (triangle warning sign) behind the vehicle, which will be more than 150 meters during the day and more than 500 meters at night. Organize personnel on the car to quickly transfer to off-road seat belts, and then call the rescue or alarm number. Do not stop, walk or repair the car by yourself at will.
(7) A minor accident occurred and quickly evacuated. If a minor accident occurs without casualties, you should take a photo and evacuate the scene immediately. Drive to the open highway shoulder and service area outside the road and negotiate and handle it yourself or call the police to wait for the traffic police to handle it, in order to prevent traffic congestion or a second accident.
