In theory, conventional methods cannot bypass it, but it is interesting that after EVGA discovered this problem, it thought it was a bug, so it released a firmware patch.
The result is that after updates the firmware, the Ethereum computing power of EVGA RTX 3080 Ti increased from 66MH/s to 80MH/s, an increase of 21%.
The RTX 3080 Ti of other brands naturally does not have this official treatment, but @bravo_char tried it with an Yingzhong RTX 3080 Ti iChill X3 Super Ice Dragon Edition and also flashed the firmware of EVGA, but it was successful. Moreover, the computing power of was unlocked to 91MH/s, an increase of 38%!
Of course, cross-brand firmware swiping is extremely dangerous for graphics cards, and it is generally not recommended to try it.
