On June 8, 2020, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau released a video speech, saying that entry and exit control is relaxed for immediate relatives of citizens and permanent residents. On the same day, the Canadian Border Affairs Office released news on its official website, further relaxing entry restrictions on Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
This exemption policy has come into effect at 23:59 pm Eastern Time on June 8. Its application targets include foreign citizens. As long as they can prove that they are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and they do not have any symptoms of the new coronavirus or "no reason to believe they have been infected with the new coronavirus", foreign citizens can enter Canada.
Here, international students and work visa holders need to pay attention. This entry exemption does not apply to the immediate relatives of temporary student visa and work visa holders, and anyone entering Canada must still self-isolate for 14 days, otherwise they will "face severe punishment."
"The permission of immediate family members into Canada does not mean that travelers can cross borders to attend private parties or social parties on weekends".

Fortunately, Air Canada has determined a new return flight time soon. After June 24, the flights from Toronto to Hong Kong have resumed to one flight per day. In June, the flights from Vancouver to Hong Kong have been 4 flights per week. Starting from July, the flights from Toronto to Shanghai have been 3 flights per week. In July, the flights from Vancouver to Beijing/Shanghai have been one flight per day.
