Acer has announced the expansion of its antimicrobial product lineup with new laptops, tablets, monitors, various accessories, and even an antimicrobial jacket. Acer explained that this expansion adds multiple product lines targeting business and consumer customers.
Acer's new antimicrobial product line includes the TravelMate Spin P4 laptop, Enduro Urban N3 laptop, Enduro Urban T3 tablet and VE246Q monitor. In addition, the company now offers new antimicrobial accessories, including the KM501 Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, B501 Bluetooth mouse, and Acer Eco Shell protective jackets.
Acer TravelMate Spin P4, a business laptop with 360-degree hinge, up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro processor, up to 1TB M.2 SSD storage, 14-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass, 13.5 hours Battery life, optional eSIM and DSSA LTE support, plus Thunderbolt 4, Ethernet, TPM 2.0, smart card reader, fingerprint sensor, and Windows Hello and other features.
The Enduro Urban N3 is a 14-inch laptop that combines an antimicrobial surface with high durability for use in hazardous environments. Features include waterproof ports and buttons, waterproof Aquafan and drainage system, MIL-STD 810H durability, IP53 resistance rating, Corning Gorilla Glass and reinforced edges to withstand drops. In addition to durability, the Enduro Urban N3 laptop has a 14-inch full HD display with 450 nits brightness, 13 hours of battery life, Corning Gorilla Glass, up to 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce MX330 Graphics card and 32GB DDR4 memory .
The Enduro Urban T3 Tablet is a 10-inch model with similar durability, including waterproof ports, buttons, and speakers, reinforced corners, an IP53 rating, and, of course, an antimicrobial finish. This model uses a full HD display with a brightness of 600 nits, supports 10-point touch, a 5-megapixel front wide-angle camera, AI noise reduction, dual-band WiFi, and uses an MediaTek eight-core processor and 4GB of memory.
The Acer VE246Q monitor uses a 23.6-inch full HD VA panel with a 178-degree viewing angle and a 100000000:1 contrast ratio. This model includes Acer's Comfy View technology, which reduces ambient lighting and glare, and BlueLightShield, which minimizes blue light and prevents eye strain.
Acer applies silver ion agent to the surface of these products, especially the places where people touch them most, to make these products antibacterial. This may be particularly useful for people with children, as well as high-traffic commercial and medical environments. Now, new accessories feature the same antimicrobial surface and are certified for use with Chromebooks. The most interesting is the Eco-Shell Protective Jacket, which is described as a product for travelers that offers a clear PET hoodie cover to help stop aerosol water dripping onto the wearer's face.
