1. Modification of new entry restrictions for foreigners
(1) So far, in principle, new entry of foreigners from all countries and regions is suspended, unless there are "special circumstances" before new entry is recognized.
Under this measure, except for tourism purposes, newly arrived foreigners who meet the following A or B will be deemed to have "special circumstances" after the receiving party in Japan (Note 1) completes the application for the Entrant Health Confirmation System (ERFS) The application will be accepted in principle as a new entry.
