Meet New Zealand’s vaccination requirements
Most non-New Zealand citizens who are over 16 years old and do not have vaccine exemptions need to provide proof of vaccination.
Currently, recipients of 35 vaccines are allowed to enter New Zealand, including a variety of Chinese vaccines. Also note that you must get the full number of doses requested on the website.
In addition, check the airline's terms of service before entering the country, because many airlines require passengers to be fully vaccinated.
Provide proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test
Most travelers aged 2 and over must provide proof of a negative result from one of the following:
Nucleic acid test - You must be on the scheduled departure of your first international flight to New Zealand Collect a swab within 48 hours before the time and receive a negative result
Supervised Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) - You must test and receive a negative test result within 24 hours before the scheduled departure time of your first international flight to New Zealand
Supervised LAMP Test – You must be tested within 24 hours of the scheduled departure time of your first international flight to New Zealand Test within the first 24 hours and get a negative test result
Supervised testing must be done in the presence of a health professional, such as a doctor, nurse or pharmacist. Test results must be in English or accompanied by a certified English translation.
Fill out the New Zealand Traveler Declaration Form
According to the requirements, people entering New Zealand, including New Zealand citizens, must fill in a New Zealand Traveler Declaration before departure.
This is an online application that can be started 28 days before your flight. Travelers need to fill in health information, vaccination information and pre-departure test results related to the new coronavirus. Upon completion, you will be issued a Traveller Pass – which you will need to present upon boarding and entry.
Fill out the Passenger Arrival Card
Before getting off the plane, you will get a Passenger Arrival Card, which may look like this:
The flight attendant will issue the Passenger Arrival Card to you on the plane. If you have not received an immigration card, please collect it at the arrival hall.
Be sure to declare your luggage truthfully and do not bring prohibited items, otherwise the consequences may be serious!
