Nowadays, most people use instant messaging instead of SMS, but some people still like to use SMS text messages. If you are an iPhone user and want to send SMS messages to the other party, you can change the message format to send like this.
In fact, as long as your iPhone has the iMessage function turned on, the system will by default automatically detect whether the person you are sending messages to also uses an iPhone. If the other party is an Android phone, the message sent will be green.
⭕ Blue is iMessage
⭕ Green is SMS
1.) How to change the message format to send
When you send an iMessage to the other party, as long as the message does not show "Read", you can long press to change it to "Message" Format Send" to change it from iMessage to SMS. However, if the iMessage has already been displayed as "read", it cannot be changed to a text message using this method.
2.) Turn off the iMessage function
If you often use SMS text messages, you can manually turn off the iMessage function first. This will force the iPhone to send SMS text messages to the other party. The setting steps are as follows:
✅ Turn on the settings on the iPhone,
✅ Click on the message,
✅ Turn off the "iMessage" function.
Note that if iMessage is turned off, when you use your iPhone to send a message, it will be sent as an SMS text message regardless of whether the other party uses an iPhone or not!
