According to reports, the project site is located at a maximum distance of more than 80 kilometers offshore and has a total installed capacity of 300 megawatts. It will be equipped with an onshore centralized control center, an offshore booster station and an offshore high-resistance station.
Industry insiders believe that compared with land, offshore wind power construction technology is complex and power transmission distance is longer, which puts forward high requirements on industrial technology level and construction resource allocation. Offshore wind power also requires higher industrial chain collaboration.

"During the construction of the H8-2 offshore wind power project in Dafeng, Jiangsu, China Three Gorges Corporation worked with various participating units to promote the application of new equipment and new technologies, breaking through a series of barriers that restrict the development of offshore wind power into deep seas. Wang Wubin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Three Gorges Energy, said that the length of the submarine cable used in this project reached 86.6 kilometers, setting a record for the application of the longest distance and largest diameter AC submarine cable in China; the first application of offshore high-resistance stations in China can make up for the lack of power loss, curb over-voltage levels at the end under low load conditions, improve power generation efficiency, and ensure efficient and stable long-distance transmission of offshore wind power; innovatively apply the 500 kV centralized control center with the largest offshore wind power voltage level in China to promote GIS and voltage transformers and other domestic equipment applications.

According to reports, the average annual online power generation of this project will reach 900 million kilowatt hours, which can meet the annual electricity needs of approximately 370,000 households. Compared with thermal power plants of the same scale, this project can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 760,000 tons per year.
