In South Korea at that time, many people did not know enough about this period of history and lacked a correct understanding of "comfort women". They believed that they "sold their bodies", so how could they confidently appear in public to seek help.

Most of the victims are unwilling to disclose their names and appearances, and they only hope to receive subsidies and live out the rest of their bleak lives.

Through hard work, Wen Jingshu began to prepare to file a lawsuit for the victims seeking help.

As a result, many Japanese customers of the travel agency have terminated their cooperation, and the travel agency's business has plummeted.

Fortunately, Wen Jingshu has a strong foundation and can withstand the hardships.

At the same time, Wen Jingshu received a fax from Japan-a Japanese lawyer was willing to defend the grandmothers free of charge.

In 1993, they went to Japan to attend the first court hearing.

Although the first appeal encountered such a difficult situation, Wen Jingshu, the lawyer and the grandmothers still bravely persisted.

Over a period of six years, they traveled to and from Japan a total of 23 times to attend court hearings, and time and time again they publicly recounted the inhumane treatment they experienced in court.

Some of them had been pregnant with children, and their bellies were brutally cut open, and the children were taken out and thrown to the ground. Their uteruses were also removed, and their bodies were carved with tattoos like "North Korea XX";
