Even the typos were exactly the same. Wang Hongwei held a press conference on the 5th to announce relevant evidence and called on Lin Zhijian to withdraw from the election and not insult the intelligence of the citizens of Hsinchu and Taoyuan.

Taiwan Zhongtian News reported that Wang Hongwei broke the news that the Hsinchu Science Park Administration (referred to as the Bamboo Science Park Administration) invited bids at the end of 2007, and Chung Hwa University won the bid in June 2008. After completing the closing report "Evaluating the Satisfaction of Surrounding Residents of Hsinchu Science and Industrial Park Using TCSI Model", Lin Zhijian submitted his master's thesis in July. Wang Hongwei said that the closing report and Lin Zhijian’s paper are almost identical in terms of title, research methods, documents, and cited surveys. According to the "United Daily News" report, for example, the Bamboo Branch Management Bureau mistakenly wrote "basketball" as "blue ball" in the report. Such obvious typos were also made in Lin Zhijian's paper.
Wang Hongwei said that the object of Lin Zhijian's plagiarism was a public bidding case commissioned by the Bamboo Branch Management Bureau, which was tantamount to plagiarizing government property, and the circumstances were more serious than ordinary academic plagiarism.
According to the "United Daily News" report, Lin Zhijian responded to this matter, saying, "These have been exposed before, and they are already old news." He can definitely withstand the test, and declared that there is no problem with his thesis. Chen Shuzhu, deputy director of the Bamboo Science Management Bureau, said that he had not heard any relevant statement; Chung Hwa University said that it was questioning relevant people at the time and was temporarily unable to respond.
Regarding Lin Zhijian’s statement, Zhongshi News Network reported that Wang Hongwei said at a press conference on the 5th that everyone can search online. So far, the report of the Bamboo Branch Administration has never been announced online, so no one has ever taken this label. I compared the case with Lin Zhijian’s master’s thesis because it is not available on the Internet. She said, "You can tell with the naked eye that this is an almost completely plagiarized paper, plagiarized to the fullest!" Wang Hongwei believes that as a political figure, Lin Zhijian's integrity cannot be tested, and it is suspected of violating academic ethics and breaking the law. It is demanded that Lin Zhijian should withdraw from the election to take responsibility for this paper that was suspected of plagiarism more than ten years ago.
