There is also a switch in the system that allows engineers to test AOD functionality on unsupported devices.

In other words, iOS 16 does have a built-in AOD function. As for why Apple did not mention it at the press conference, and why this function does not appear in the current iOS 16 Beta version. I think there is only one possibility, that is, Apple does not want old iPhone users to use it, and is planning to make it an exclusive feature of the new iPhone.

Note that the new iPhone here does not refer to the entire iPhone 14 series, but to iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. After all, this series of models does not support ProMotion and its battery life is average. However, the iPhone 13 Pro series is based on the blessing of A15 and LTPO technology, and the battery life performance is already very good.
