For example, Beijing is 010 and Hangzhou is 0571. But in fact, what many people don’t know is that the first digit of the area code, 0, is the long-distance prefix code, which does not mean anything. Structurally, C1 bureaus and municipalities use two-digit area codes, with Beijing as "10" and other areas starting with "2".
Seeing this, everyone will have a question mark in their minds, that is why there is no 026 area code. Originally, the 026 plan was reserved for Taipei City, Taiwan (currently using the international dial code 886-2). Due to historical issues, the possibility is unlikely and it is still vacant. Therefore, many large cities in China are striving to use this area code.
